Installing problem... (client_surface)

in Lord of the Rings Online
Hello everyone. I've recently downloaded this game by the program they give you to do it.



Allraight until the install...



At almost the half way to be completed installed, I get this:



"Error copying client_surface.dat, the file is corrupted." and I can Cancel, Ignore or Retry.



Retry doesn't work. If I click Ignore the instalations keeps working and installs the other files succesfully.



But I just CAN'T PLAY WHITOUW THE FUCKING CLIENT_SURFACE!!! (weight:1.09 Gb)



Please can sobebody help me?

    Did you have any errors while downloading the original client? I know I lost power on my laptop in the middle of the download process (discovering for the first time that my battery no longer functioned) and could not get the game to work right. Turns out the downloader didn't have any sort of error checking on the files....so if one got corrupted during the download...the only option was to uninstall/delete everything and start over. 



    This happened during the final month of the closed beta... but I don't know if they've added an error checking routine yet.

    I really need help, or the test time will die, and i won't be decided.



    That ~#~€¬@~ file is getting me sick. (client_surface.dat) I cannot install it!



    A friend gave me that file in 2 cds, in RAR format. Buy when i try pass the file to this machine, i get "file corrupted"



    I need to know. Does it works to delet the installer and donwload it gain?

    are you downloading the client of fileplanet ????



    i had that problem so i downloaded it off

    it works from this download all of them into a folder then install  worked for me :)



    and you dnt downlad the '.md5' files well you cnt so dnt try anyway lol

    They have their own downloader, and they also offer a torrent.



    As for your installation corruption issue. Definitely try downloading again to see if it helps. Also, if you try to install and every time the error comes from a different file, it's a clear sign of some hardware issue, either with your hard drive or your memory. Most installers need to copy and decompress large amount of data to your hard drive and memory. If either of these have problems, it can corrupt the decompressed data and will be reported as a corrupted file.

    The first time i downloaded the game was by the installer the home page gives. And it didn't work...

     

    But i'm trying again... I HATE this. That game requieres TOO MUCH machine... $%"·"·%&& BASTARDS.

    OH MY GOD HELP ME! I GET THE SAME MESSAGE  ALLL THE TIME!!!!!! THIS IT WHAT IS SAYS:

    I can log in and chose server and then its loading then the error comes upp PLEASE HELP ME!!!

    My friend, now that i know from where you get me, I tell you that if you're getting that mistake is because the game is not installed well. If you had installation problems with some corrupted file, you need to get that file, or download the client again....

     

    That was my problem...

    But as I told you on the e-mail, you won't play now if you haven't payed it...
