Is it just my computer...

I just started LoTR and the interface is acting kind of wierd.  It seems like my character will only turn in discrete increments.  Is this how it is supposed to work or am I lagging.  I don't think it's lag because the graphics don't stutter when I walk forward, just when I turn.  Has anyone else had this happen?

I have similar trouble on occasion, but  i do think it is lag.

I just put in 2 more gigs of ram (3 total) with a 256 m v-card.  And still see it a bit when there is alot of action around.

I shoot for the curve... anything above that is gravy.

What kind of rig do you have? And what OS are you running, internet conenction (& latency pref) etc... May help us to help you! But as far as the game itself is concerned; no it is not meant to be like that, the game looks, feels (and in my opinion is) gorgeous so anything like that is more than likely a problem with your PC or a problem which Turbine are aware of. (In which case check their forums for the most recent issues thread)

I have a P4 630 3.0 GHz, 1GB DDR 533, Radeon x700 pro running Windows XP service pack 2.  My connection is a cable modem.

Ok, sounds like your rig might be a little underpowered in terms of memory and graphics, but it should run ok if you lower the detail a bit... What settings are you trying to run the game in?
