Xfire?

Just a quick question to people here....

Xfire or Gamespy Comrade? I knew about the latter for a while, but Im looking to gather a small group to be a guild who plays games online to complete them as a group, and Im going to use one as the main organization tool. I only heard about Xfire this weekend.

Well, anyone have input?

Xfire is what most people use, might as well go with that. Never install anything gamespy related, ever.

Never give up and never surrender!

Definitely X-fire. Gamespy is packed with advertisement unless you pay

IM using Xfire now, as I said before.... but that isnt fair, actually. Gamespy Comrade doesnt have ads so far. It's got 3 basic weaknesses compared to Xfire:

    1) you MUST click the game inside their program's menu to have it chart time.

    2) no voice (it's on the way... this is in beta)

    3) 640 games vs over 800

However, it also has a few plusses:

    1) more then just join friends, you have smartmatching for competative games

    2) built-in connection to Gamespy Arena (so it's easy to setup your ranking with friends or join rankings)

    3) chat with people playing online in some PS2 games NOW... and other games running on gamespy servers later... that's right.. cross platform messaging.

Overall, Im a co-op player, though, so aside from 3, Gamespy doesnt offer me anything Xfire doesnt... and 3 to 1 says Im going Xfire.
