    hello guys.

    I'm new to this forum and am interested in COH. Now, i didn't want to clog the forum with another 'can anyone send me a free trial pass' post, so i decided to add my request to an existing thread of the same topic. I recently played LOTRO trail, but found i didn't like the game. There is nothing like trying a game before you buy it, so i'd like to try out COH. So with that said, anyone who'd like to avail of the refer a friend offer and possibly earn themselves a month free game time, could they pm me about it please!

    no worries.

    keep in mind that I9 is set to go live within the next couple weeks, so that will add quite a bit to the game as well.

    Hey!

    Spiderman 3 convinced me, I am coming from Star Wars Galaxies.

     

    Can anyone refer me? I need the trial to hold me off until payday, and so I won't waste my money.

    Yes, someone sent me a trial. I had to go out of town sooner than I thought. Thanks to Mark. So far it's a pretty cool game.

    Yeah, so apprently CoH is not compatible with Window's Vista.

     

    So... No CoH for me.

    Actually it is compatible -- you may have to modify your shortcut to add the executable argument "compatiblecursors=1"

    To do this:

    1-Right click your desktop shortcut for the City updater.

    2-Select 'Properties'. Make sure you are in the 'Shotcut' tab.

    3-Select the 'Target' field. It should look something like this: "C:Program FilesCoH TestCohTestCohUpdater.exe"

    4-Add -compatiblecursors 1 to the end of the target, so that it looks like this:



    "C:Program FilesCity of HeroesCohUpdater.exe" -compatiblecursors 1



    If you have installed your game to the default location, you can copy and paste the line above into your target field.

    My wife plays COX on Vista so i can honestly say compatible

     maybe i got lucky

    This game was a complete suprise.  After trying the 10 day trial I bought the game.  I am having so much fun with this. 

    And I think I found the game to keep me entertained until AOC comes out. 

    Ohh anyone want to say hi, I'm on the freedom server and toons name is PurpleBlast.
