Is it true that the game will be released Q2 2004 (time is running)?

    Q2 = second quarter = april to june.

    FoM is in beta 2 state atm, it doesn't seem that it will be published in june, more like end of july.

    WEll usually in my experience of Beta testing there are sometimes 3 seperate betas and the open.. It all depends on how smoothly the game runs between now and then.

    So judging from the  way everything seems to be fitting in on the game .. the release date probably be sometime before August. Unless of course they have some freak accident like SoR had and knock it back a few more months heh.

    I heard that they don't even have a publisher yet, so don't expect it to be released this summer. Unless they decide to self-publish it, which would be very costly.

    I think that's a fairly assumptious remark. Because 'you heard' (somewhere?) that they don't have a publisher yet, people shouldn't expect it to be released this summer? If you're going to say something like that at least mention a source, give a link, something. Don't just propogate rumors. Also, whenever a company is in negotiations with a publisher they aren't able to release information about it until the deal has been finalized. Duplex Systems could be entertaining any number of publishers right now but wouldn't be able to make an announcement about it.

    True too, unless you have hard evidence its not exactly wise to start spreading hearsay about like rice after a wedding. It gets people to talkin about other stuff that they hear without any other  hard facts to back it up.

    I read it on the official forums but I cant find the thread again. Head over there and check it out for yourself, I'm sure its there.

    Well, the website says "The release of Face of Mankind is planned for Q2/2004.", but I´m not sure that info is up to date.

    Yeah I dunno if its up to date also considering all the MMO's on the bored they have to keep up with heh..

    EH... Either way fansites are not that reliable unless you get to one that is kept up daily or every friday. Other than that most of those sites are rather slow on info and stick to hearsay also.

    Atleast the ones i have been to are like that. Or, still underconstruction for that past 2 months heh...imageimage Who knows heh.

    I'm on the forum staff of the official forums. No such information was ever given out by an employee of Duplex Systems. If it was mentioned then it was just by some guy who posted it on the boards, which leads us back to propogating rumors...

    I was actually responding to AmirhA's comment about them not having a publisher. I didn't dispute the website's release date :)

    The official word is: There is no official word :) As of now, no publisher has been announced.

    one of the head Administrators of the forums (not part of the developing team i dont think) seems to think it wont be released until September.

    i feel that their is a good chance that there will be an open beta at least a couple of weeks before release, but i could be wrong. i just wish the developers would give us a little more insight into the game and how exactly each device works. even another trailer would be nice considering that one is pre-beta.
