played beta LotRO found it to be like watching grass grow yeah its a hot seller right now but its also NEW .. pay attention and realize that just because a game has high numbers of buyers that it is neither cutting edge nor a good game .. its new and people want to see what the game has to offer

I love playing the game, just got through with a nice 4 hour session. But damn I miss watching these forums.

Poor troll sposting their finger to the bone and all they are getting is bony fingers. Lets figure there are 100 trolls each with 5 alts making "LoTRO is shit" posts 12 hours a day. Now how can they compete with a few hundred thousand people playing the game and enjoying themselves . All these people enjoying the game are discussing it with their friends in the lunch rooms and around water coolers,  getting copies for their girl friends and boy friends and family members......damn it is a regular epidemic. I almost feel sorry for the trolls, key word is almost. LOL. Take a good look at LoTRO at the top of the charts , it is going to be there a long time.

    Ah, the nondenial denial.

I can think of several who might pay you to put down the first real rival WoW has had, or possibly the recently released game that had its many deficiencies glaringly highlit by LotRO's excellence and smooth release.  The head of one company said they'd be using viral marketing, so suspicion is not far fetched.

How about I just come out and deny it then?

Real rival?  See, now who is the shill...  If the other game you are referring to is Vanguard, do you honestly think they have any money to pay shills?  That boat was destined to sink the minute it left port.

Lets see the link to where the head of this company said they'd be using viral marketing.

Lets see the link to where the head of this company said they'd be using viral marketing. it does not matter though, it really doesn't. Reading these forums are simply a form of free entertainment. No one really comes here to "find out about a game". If some of the posters are paid employees then their employer is wasting his money. Readers may give a bit of weight to reviews in magazines or perhaps on some of the less trollish sites but Stan and his kind are simply as I said in another post "spitting in the wind".  If some of he posters are viral marketers, who cares, let em earn their minimum wage.

Anyway back to topic the thread is about biz.gamedaily.com/charts/

and how great LoTRO is doing in sales.  I bet it will stay # 1 for weeks, it has been  number one on the charts over at  EB games and in the top ten at Amazon and Best buy for a couple of months now.
