Well, i heard about the game "perfectworld" some days ago, which is a mix of lineage2 & wow. First i was not impressed, since this game is going f2p with item shop but after a while i could find more infos and i heard about that this game is based on lots of quests, interesting classes, beautiful graphics, good pvp etc...
So i found some interesting pages with good infos about this game, tutorial how to install it and how to do basic quests without to know anything about chinese language. Yes the client is unfortunately in chinese, so you cant do a big part of the quests.
But soon in the phillipines will start an english version too and licences will be brought to other western countries. I bet this game will be successfull. It has GuildWars, World PvP, Castle Siege Wars...well really interesting.
Some facts:
- free distribution of stat points, which is very nice
- skill point system
- classes which can transform into animals as well one pet hybrid class which has magic, can transform and has a pet, furthermore warriors, mages, archers, priests
- unblieveable flying mounts, lots of different mounts, you can ride your own pets and yo can ride with even 2 people on one pet
- interesting race which can fly by nature which is also possible in some parts of pvp possibilities
- stunning graphics and beautiful landscape
- good pvp system so far i can see and what i have read as well territorial pvp included, battle in land-sea-air
- good character customization
- crafting system
- free to play btw
- first time i would say it is worth to download an asian game even with chinese language and limited gameplay due to language barrier
- all in all some new refreshing ideas in this game

i'm on the forum to + the game to
something u didn't say is it is an open world no loading of any kind
u have 3 types of armour
dex
con
str
for race it has 3 sub weapons u can choose from
elves have
bows
crossbows
slingshots
mages/healers (and summoners i think )
get
1h sword
staff
short staff
and warriors get the usual weapons and 2 types of dual wields
its a realy cool game u will have player build city in pvp
its like this its not pvp in PW its GwG
once ur guild is strong enough u can fight over territory there are 32 parts off land u can conquer ( although only 3 max at a time )
so other guilds can try to attack your land
u will get catapults ,towers and well u will be able to put ur house on it and make a city ^^
this game is 10 x better then wow first off all because its free
and second off all the game is well pretty perfect its has some minors but ^^ its sweet

Exactly this is the reason why i did download the game, the pvp possiblities seems to sound quiete nice and its not just clone where you have grief pvp or only flagged pvp . There is a reason to have pvp - territory wars with catapults, well that sounds really cool.
I was talking with some chinese players ingame and they told me there are around 5000 quests in this game, at least several thousands if the number isnt correct - my quest book was already full with lvl 5 around and you still could get new ones.
It seems also, that close combat classes are not the pure underdog in this game and the variation of stat distribution is just very nice instead of a fixed stat raise each lvl like most games from asia - and most important for me it is not just a blind grind due to the quests. I dont want to compare this game with wow, cause wow is a superb game but it seems that this game has so much good content and nice ideas that it could be p2p.
Well I tried the MY version of the game briefly,and it seems really,really good at first sight. (lack of understanding anything aside
) People riding flaming swords and having wings at LEVEL 3,nice fight animations and the promise of territory wars/PvP? Something about this game didn't make me want to pack it in after 5 minutes like most other games I've tried. There was a 'spark' of hope about this one.
Needless to say,this is probably the only PvE-ish game I am looking forward to for its English open beta. I didn't play for long because I didn't want to ruin it for my English beta experience,but I sense that this game could be a key distractor until Darkfall,if not more...
I just hope the PvP is decent.

heheh yes i was laughing too when i read about cafes and yes open beta is for everyone, at the end of the year i guess servers will start in europe and south and nordamerica. I was playing now up to lvl 16 but stopped since without any quest it is slow to advance but the werefox class is really fun and i like the pets.
And btw its not a pveish game the game has pk and territorial wars but i have not seen any screenshots up to now or maps about the size, i stayed only at the beginner area around and i guess no pvp at all exist there but later on.
Here are infos about territorial war and parts of the pvp concept , besides you can do duels, small arenas exist and in some lvl areas player pk.

I'm playing the Vietnamese version of Perfect World ( im Vietnamese
I must say that Perfect World is not a perfect game but it's worth playing. I will give you some extra info of this game:
- Free to play but if you want to have some special item, you must buy from Special Shop. Some Special Shop items can be collected in game, some can not.
- Class of chars. You have 3 races of chars to choose and each race have some class of char.
Human Race are Swordman and Magician.
Beast Race are Beast Warrior and Beast Fairy.
Elf Race are Archer Elf and Priest Elf.
- The character customization is cool. You can change whatever you want: eye, nose, ear, hair, body (chest, boob
- With Beast Warrior you can choose 3 type: Tiger, Lion and Panda
- Beast Fairy can tame monsters which have level equal or less than her level. When tamed,a monster will become an egg. You (Beast Fairy) bring this egg to a NPC and hatch it into a tamed monster. Tamed monster can only be used by Beast Fairy. You can also tame monster and sell eggs into ingame shop. This is the reason why Beast Fairy is the richest class of Perfect World.
- Each level you have 5 extra point to add to 4 attribute: Health, Strength, Intelligent and Energy. How to add point depend on your class and the weapon family you choose.
- At lvl 30, all character can fly (from 1-30 only Elf Race can fly with their born-wing). When lvl up to 30, you have to finish a special quest and then you are given a flying item: Flying Sword for Human, Flying Ray Fish for Beast and upgrade Wing for Elf. But this quest-given Flying items have slow speed and look somewhat unsightly. You can buy special Flying Item from Special shop, which are cool and faster.
- From lvl 40 you can use Mounting Pet. Mounting Pet that can be bought in game is normal horse. Mounting Pet can be given from quest is White Dragon Horse (you must collect a lot of Golden Dragon Card, Silver Dragon Card and Bronze Dragon Card to exchange this pet). Some Special mounting pet must be bought from Special Shop. New version of game has some Special Mounting Pet like Kirin, Pollar Bear, Black Panther ...
- Beside mounting pet, there are different kinds of in-game special PET. These special pets appear rarely in special time. Only Beast Fairy can tame them. Attack Special Pet can only be used by Beast Fairy. For-fun Special Pet can be used by every class.
- From lvl 80. You can choose to be God or Devil. God and Devil wil live in different area. Depend on which you choose, skill that you have learnt will have extra effect.
- Quest system. Perfect World has many quest for you to do. Quests are devided into Normal Quest, Business Quest, Hero Quest, Challenge Quest, Circulation Quest and Self-Improve Quest.
Normal Quest: each lvl you can have some lvl quest to do and you can do it yourself. Type of normal quest are killing a number of monster, collect some items dropped from monster ...
Business Quest: to enlarge your inventory and your trunk. The first and second time you enlarge your Inventory and trunk, you can use items dropped in game. But from the 3rd time you must use item buy from Special Shop.
Hero Quest: usually you have to kill a Boss. Some you can do yoursefl but most you have to make party with high level player to finish (if u dont want to die
Challenge Quest: kill special Boss in Cave. Boss and Monster in cave is very very strong. To do this quest, you always have to make party with high level player and they will kill them for you. Challenge quest can be meet at lvl of 19,29,39,49,59...99
Self-Improve Quest: some you can do your self, some with higher player. Only when you finish this quest and Challenge quest, your character can go into higher grade of skill.
Circulation Quest: quest that you can always do with training. This quest does not give you EXP bonus but Glory points and special stone.
- Glory Points. If you have enough Glory Points, you can go to NPC and they will give you special item that you can not have by normal ways.
Sounds fun. Not my kind of game though.
Why I'm actually replying is that the 2nd Beast class made me laugh out loud (seriously): Beast Fairy.

Beast Fairy is a loose translation of the class. Its best described as werefox or fox spirit from chinese and japanese mythology.
I can't wait for this game to come out looks great
The only snag is that currently,this version is not open to foreign IP's.
The open beta may or may not change this,but for the closed beta it's PH only people. Hence the Internet cafe promotion thing over there.
