WoW Clone?! Debate Solved Case&Close

Shoko_LiedShoko_Lied Member UncommonPosts: 2,193

Just a tid-bit to all of you who this think is a WoW clone which I happen to hear ALOT more than one should half to hear. This game is not a WoW clone nor anything like it. To prove the solid fact and proof behind this, ya its written in stone, just havnt been to china yet.... The final release of (world of warcraft).... Nov 23, 04... (Perfect world) was released early to mid 2005. but fortunantly this is not a WoW clone, the two games actualy started the initial coding and production for the engine around the same time for the game build itself. So if this is a clone of WoW, and they actually made it very similar to WoW in that ammount of time, then I would half to say Coodos to the Devs. If anything, there was just more time spent creating perfect world before its launch in Asia than WoW in the USA. "did I mention WoW has a monthly fee and this doesnt" ? and can you make out with a panda bear 300 feet in the air or 300 feet underwater? can you?!

Right on man! But honestly the WoW fanboys/girls wouldn't really care and think their game is god.  Just cos a game has some similar features doesn't make it a clone. If that's their reason to brand it a such then that would make every MMOG a "clone" of Ultima Online which is the mother of all MMOGs. Even some say that this is an L2 ripoff just cos they share the same interface. Sheesh! Perfect World has so much more to offer than even  the top selling MMOGs in the US or even Asia.  To those who think this game would fail in the west you're in for a big suprise cos this game will be a huge hit once it reaches NA shores. And I won't be suprised if it will give WoW a run for its money.

Any particular reason you're so excited about being able to make out with a panda?

    Exactly!

Anyway, I wouldn't really mind if it was a WoW clone, as long as it was a good one. Nothing wrong with being unoriginal if the games still fun and free, what?

P.S. Wouldn't it be better to make out with a panda on a horse, underwater?
