ok so i started downloading the game client and it has taken forever it's spent like a day and a half updating a 2.3G update... and now it's downloading another one just as big... how many updates are there to get my game up and running... i'm starting to worry that i might not have even a week left of the trial before it runs out... is it just redownloading the first patch or what... any help would be very helpful!
thx,
Empyre

There are 2 steps: downloading and patching.
Downloading can get slower around the time of big releases as everyone has to get the new patches. Fortunately pre-downloads tend to spread a lot of that work out. But trying to install from base during that time will be slower than at others. It's still usually the shorter of the two steps.
The second bit is patching, applying the successive layers. That's not connection-related at all, and the only things that can hold it up are limited memory, hard drive speed / size / defrag state, and background processes. It's not quick but it shouldn't take all that long either on a moderately clean machine.
Bear in mind you are getting 3 years of updates so that first time does take a bit. In my "Here is your Free Trial Information!" post that nobody bothers to read, I mention this and suggest starting the install before setting up the account so as not to lose trial time. A day and a half is certainly long, but whatever the time is it won't be nearly that bad in future runs.
