Problem with Creating New account

in Second Life
when I try to create new account, it keeps on rejecting the Security Image Code! I've never had a problem with those squiggly letter things before. Tried lowercase and uppercase; no help. Anybody else have this problem? Really wanting to try somthing new, please help! TIA

    Not that anybody cares, but I figured out the problem. You have to sign up using IE; Firefox will not work for some reason. Hope this helps someone in the future.

    I appreciate that you followed up with a solution to your problem, not many do that these days :)

    As for websites requiring the visitor to use MSIE, I have experienced that many times while using Opera and Firefox. In fact, all the cross-browser crap was one of the main reasons I lost all interest in creating websites a couple of years ago. MSIE has improved since then, but it still has a long way to go (MS is working on the next version as we speak, actually).

    It sucks, but the only thing we can do is sending the webmaster a polite e-mail explaining that we do not enjoy having to switch to another webbrowser just so that we can visit their site.

    Yeah it was a minor problem but they should have a message that states that their are issues with other browsers somewhere on the site.



    BTW, game isnt what I thought it would be, but still fun to check out some of the clubs and malls and the like. Found a great club that plays 80s music; most songs I havent heard since then! SL is pretty much a 3D chat room with custom Avatars. Not that theirs anything wrong with that!
