I just acquired the LOTR Online Founder-Key which enables me to "buyout" a lifetime membership for a one-time fee.
Since DDO and LOTR are both under the Turbine umbrella - is it possible for DDO to have a similar "lifetime membership" option?
This would actually keep a lot of us playing this niche MMO - which we normally would unsubscribe to (as I have). I like it overall - but tis a shame its not worth an active monthly membership fee when compared to other big-boys out there (and on the horizon).
I have seen an official DDO representative on this forums before - I hope they can post a reply. (Even a "possibility/under consideration" would be great.) Thanks.
Regards.
PS. If you find this idea appealing - please /sign this thread. Let them know there is a demand for a similar concept for DDO as well.
Well DDO is supposed to come out with Forsaken lands this summer and that may play into what they do with Stormreach. It would be a good idea of all if the online games had some type of life time subscription. But with lifetime subscriptions, you would cut out some revenue. The real questions is with Forsaken lands be an add on to stormreach or will it be a whole new game. If a whole new game, will Stormreach get any new updates like it does now?

why don't you post this on the Turbine/Codemaster forum? there they will definetly see this.
I though doubt they will do this. With LOTRO this is limited to the launch phase. DDO has been now for a while on the market....

Either that or an all games pass type of system.
