Recently, someone posted a "review" of LOTRO which went like this:
"I'll keep this short and simple, anyone who doesn't enjoy this game is dead inside. I've never played in world that drew me in and made me feel like I was part of it. Hands down the best story for fantasy game."
So now we've degenerated to calling people "dead inside" if they don't enjoy this game? I've seen some pretty far out statements made concerning a lot of different MMOs in my time, but to claim that I'm dead inside because I don't enjoy what I perceive to be a cookie-cutter MMO seems like someone just can't tolerate a difference of opinion, or is just plain mean-spirited.
Come on people, have and defend your views, but don't resort to saying things like this where the only goal is to make a pretty radical assumption about people you don't know.

Well done taking something someone posted on the internet to heart. You win at life.
End of thread.
Sad to say; but, that's how someo people are now a days.
Persoanly, I realy like World fo Warcraft. But I would never call some stupid or a moron just cause they didn't like it. Everyone has their opinions on games they like and don't like.
It will never change though, A person will get it in their mind that a certain game is the greatest ever and anyone that doesn't think so must be messed up.

So, I'm not allowed to post about games when I see someone make a post that interests me in the little post ticker on MMORPG.com's main page if I'm not going to say something positive?
Maybe I was just interested to see what people were still saying about the game and I saw something that intrigued me and wanted to share it with other mature people for discussion. Therein lies the fault. I keep thinking that people who want to discuss important concepts and topics (like throwing out broad, meaningless insults) which shape our perceptions of each other actually exist on the internet. Yeah... stupid me.
I take a lot of things to heart, especially the things people say, because words have power. I took it to heart when I saw an old civil rights video in which some white southerner held a sign that read "Racial Mixing is Communism". I hope that you would do the same.
Why would you go out of your why to belittle another human being for something you don't even care about? Does it make you feel bigger inside to anonymously slam someone?
These two statements are not even remotely similar. One is an off the cuff attempt to be witty about a trivial subject, a shared video game. The other was about the freedom of tens of millions of people, and something that people were being killed over.
You are right that words have power but as the reader/listener it is your responsibility to give them the weight they deserve. In the real world I don’t know *anyone* who has *ever* gotten into an argument or offended over their choice of video games, it simply does not matter. What is it about the internet that changes that?
Well put sir.

Give me a break.....
This is some of the trash you've posted at this forum in reference to the lore book. A few people were excited about it and you apparently felt the need to add your 2 cents.
Hate to break this to you all, but a wiki is not something new for games. I've been using them for quite awhile for various games.
Seriously, are people just looking for more reasons to gush about how awesome turbine is? They're just doing what everyone else has done and giving it a LOTR name.
Even the title of this post "OMG.... the Lorebook!" just reaches all the way down and throttles my confidence in humanity.
OMG THE GAME HAS GRPAHICS, OMG YOU CAN BE A HOBBIT, OMG I CAN TAKE QUESTS FROM ARAGON, THAT'S SO PWNING L33T, I MEAN OMFG ARAGORN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
*sigh*
With crap like that spewing from your keyboard do not play some sort of innocent victim here. And I quote.... Maybe I was just interested to see what people were still saying about the game and I saw something that intrigued me and wanted to share it with other mature people for discussion....BS.
You can post whatever you want, whenever you want, but do not dish it out if you cannot take it.
