I played this game for a many months then quit and came back again. I forgot why I quit, but now I remember why. This game sucks. There is too much scum on this game. There is too many people that take the game so seriously that they think elves are evil which is one of the most stupid things I have ever heard of. I hate having endurence on items. I hate having to farm because some idiot kills me for no reason. If I get power leveled by someone on my lower level character or if I power level myself on another computer a few idiots will kill me pointlessly. I hate dropping everything in my inventory when I die. I can never tell if the guild that I joined is a bad one or a good one. (That comes in many different ways.)image

On that it sounds like you shouldn't be playing a game that is based on open PvP.  Perhaps you forgot about that or something but people will PK you when they see you since this game is about PvP/GvG.  It's meant to be like that.  Personally that's what adds to its fun factor.  But then again there are those that shouldn't play it if only because they either can't handle being PKed on a daily basis or some other reason.

Also, Elves are one of the hardest creatures to play as far as survivability goes.  But if done successfully they are highly powerful, that's why many leave them alone as far as making them or PK them right away since they have a low base constitution maximum.

Sounds like you just need to get better at PvP.  Try an Assassin, Channeler, Doomsayer, Ranger, Templar, or Thief (I've seen all ofthese do a good job when it comes to PvP, you might also want to try a dwarf priest w/ an axe and shield).

Bascially you're a carebear and open PvP environments aren't for you. I respect that, but SB just doesn't suit your playstyle. The game is driven by conflict and politics, and you can't have those in a DAOC style or other type of restrictive game.

What your guild should have done is gotten up off their rears, and gone to PK those people back. Not many games give you that kind of freedom.

Boring, you have lost your mind. I have played games all kinds of games from SB (free for all pvp) to CoH (no pvp at all). I have to tell you the most exciting and challenging is the pvp world. For those of you that dont get the rush when you and 9 friends run up on 20+ enemies and are in a great battle I will call you a carebear. Mobs and quest will never give you the challenge that tring to burn a city of 100+ players will.

Well thats your personal view. But if someone is having fun doing other things who are you to dictate what they should like.

I enjoyed my RvR in DAoC and enjoyed the "boring" mobs and quest of EQ as you put it.

It is my idea of fun and my mood changes to what i like and don't .It is my way of fun .

Only thing i say is try and read on the game before u play it.No point getting a open pvp game like shadowbane and then saying you were ganked because thats the style of the game.If it does not fit you don't buy it!

says on the box "game experience may change during online play" sums it up for me..game on!!

  • DrunknMasterDrunknMaster Member Posts: 19

Then why try to bash the game? It states on the box and the website what the hell the game is based on. You stated you like those attributes of games which this one has none of those. So why try it in the 1st place? Read up on the game before you buy it. If you take a chance on it just accept that chance.

"Get rid of endurence on items.

Make it so people don't drop everything in their inventory when they die.

Make it so people can only kill people 10- levels under them and 10- levels over them.

Get rid of the Evil Bastages cities on Mourning since they are the original dupers."

This from a previous post you obviously were not able to handle the ruthlessness and chaos shadowbane brings to the table.

    also well said tonofsteele
