It seemed like everyone was a bot or afk in town, and sometimes the bots would steal your kills. But there were a few I met that ACTUALLY played the game.

Hmmm..... no I dont play the game, but by the looks of it, I'm sure it'll die just like the other Anime games out there, covered in the shadow if it's slightly more interesting and improved game with an altered, hollow plot.

Games worth looking at:
Morrowind and all the expansions
Anarchy Online
Wish
Everquest and any of its decandants
Daggerfall (Good 'ol time-wasting 2D)
Neverwinter Nights and the expansions
There are more but i've seem to run out of space :P

uhh this game actually did get better... and out of all the games i play (cs.. wc3.. diablo..everquest..Anarchy and ffx2)

i am addicted to ro...

the new juno update.. which added the 2-2 classes is the best .. there is guild wars, pvp, forging, getting married, lvl-ing, mvp-ing, hunting, guild lvl-ing, unique builds for each person...

this is all u need.. and some person said IT GETS BORING AFTER LVL 70.. it actually gets funner.. cuz ur able to pvp .. join guild wars.. mvp and have fun guil hunting with ur friends/ro friends..

its the funnest game ive played.. with the most unique graphics.. and slowly by slowly ro's players r increasing.. about 4 months ago.. about 3,000 ppl were on in 1 server.. now there is over 4,500 players in each server

I played the free trial. I thought it was cute but I dont like isometric games. I definitly dont think it will go down tho. It prolly has a following like FFXI's playerbase, not to mention it also has an anime and manga series to back it up.

The combination between all the countries this game is in, there are literally hundreds of thousands of players. The actual fan appeal in Asia is large. It isnt to popular in the US because the 2-d sprites dont appeal to most of the players. Most of the players are usually female, and I know many are going to say but most were stuck with the gender of thier credit card. And I am pretty sure those people havent made an account after it went commercial. I have meet quite a few players from ragnarok off the net, and the majority are female, even some of the people who play guys in game are female.

I play it a lot. My best friend got me hooked on it. I started on Loki server but got bored with my 3 characters there (merchant, swordie, and acolyte) so I went to Chaos and made a thief. Chaos is REALLY buggy for some reason and laggy due to a lot of people. Way too many bots just north of Morroc.

It does get boring once you get base level 30 because you either spend all your time fighting easy stuff just to level up, or you spend a lot of time sitting after killing one harder monster. You really need to join a party so you can take on the harder stuff and level up faster. I think once PKing is implemented people will have more fun. I just want to kill the stupid bots.

I play it, and to be completely honest as much as I love you guys I just wouldn't expect the average user at MMORPG.com to understand at all, seeing as the average user seems to be a number jockey looking for a game with BIGGER, BETTER, MORE, NEW and no taste for style or environment, or artistic superiority beyond games with MOREMOREMORE POLYS (but done in the same crap American realistic Everquest/every-other-US MMORPG ever STYLE. And just in case you were wondering, kids, style is an art thing denoting the techniques and general aesthetics of the way a particular artist makes his works that sets him apart from other artists,) and very...ne...how shall I put it...dark minded. I wouldn't try to sell a cutesy game on MMORPG.com if my life depended on it. :P As I've said before, gameplay-wise, Ragnarok Online is hardly anything special, (though it's hardly as bad as some make it sound,) with the main differences being in environment, style and attitude. Would I sit down by a stream in EQ with my pet and ponder what I'll do tomorrow? Hell no. Would I take a few friends to an empty house to talk about future guild plans and laugh at my stupid jokes in another online game? Nope! Would I walk into any dungeon on any other game and actually be on the edge of my seat thanks to high quality background music and a sense of danger for the sake of my character because I die easily? Hardly!

So, yeah, basically, I play RO and love it. Could I go play some other boring medieval game and do 10,000 more things than I could do in RO? Yes. Would I want to? Hell. No. You guys don't understand. Yes, RO doesn't have that much. But for me to go play another game because it has more would basically be like leaving my wife for a sexy mathematician that can do my taxes perfectly and keep everything in my life great... I'm not HEARTLESS. It's not about who's got the best numbers. It's about where I actually enjoy being.

very well said. i am too a greate fan of Ro playd it eversince closed beta and i cant get enough, iv play maaaany other rpgs by the side.. but for some reason it seems that i always end up with ragnarok. and if gravity keeps expanding the world in this rate the game will be HUGE! the last year iv seen 5 new citys and many new maps/monsters/items so hang inthere.. ro will always have a big spot in my heart and if anyother mmorpgs will make me feal what i feal for ro then il switch.. thats all oh and DONT BADMOUTH THIS GAME!

well, i stop play RO because its get SO boring and why play on iro when u can go on player server ^^:

wtv...but 1 day my friend start play it again and he said its so cool blablabla (everything for make someone trust you for make im come play with you) then i take the trial and i played 1/2 day and i just remember why i quit it. just for make my friend Crasy i give my account to 1 of my other friend and i thing he just bot it and after 7 day my char was lvl 70 ... this game is fun when u start 1 time but its so boring after played it for few week and some time just few day.

PS: someone whant buy this account ? jke

you can said everything about the game we love...dont only thing we will do in return its ignore you!

Well This game is the same as Everquest, except the graphics ARE THE FREAKING same korean graphics we see over and over.....

This game gets a 2/10 from me, its right there next to HelBreath Online and Pristontale.

Unreal Tournament 2004 is comforting me until WoW comes out.

I played it, and thought it was the WORST game, it acutally drove me to try a different MMORPG and I ended up starting to pay to play it due to the fact RO left me scarred.

I play it on and off. I enjoyed it tons when I first started and I had great regen and the like, and my boyfriend played with me (it's fun to always have someone to play with you, no matter what MMORPG you are starting), but then we stopped and then we came back again for a bit and now we took another break. But yes, all we did was play, fight and have fun. It was nice and easy and pretty. Very fun to play, but not the kind I can get overly addicted to.

why wouldnt you play the game its so easy to level and most of the people on line are friendly and if your going to have a cry about the number of bots in game make a crit sin from scratch and youll thanks god for the fact theres 100 or so bots hunting Soldier skels for you so you dont have to spend 3 montsh doing it.

I do play the damned game, and I have a lot of characters over 80, trust me don't play this game, it is worthless. WoE sucks, my mighty guild died because all you need to do is camp with a wizard.

Although I think the game is cool, the community is consistently degrading... And I'm actually looking for another game...
