looking for a non mmo to play

i love mmorpg  games but i am looking for a good pc game to play when i am not online and that i dont got to pay a monthly fee. i like games that are mid-evil , WW ll / army based or any thing that is fun really. any suggestions?

    The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivion , if you do the main quest the game is short but there is alot more than just the main quest. I love this game.

    For a good off line time sink, I still Empire Earth. I like the first one more than the second but both can give ya a good medieval to futuristic battle fix.

    Oblivion is my definite choice, it's a really awesome game. The main quest is extremely boring, but the side quests are really awesome.
