Bringing the classic back. Its dumb they would make more money then ever before, even i a avid WoWer would leave WoW for SWG:classic.

If you admit you were wrong lets start going back to basics instead of releasing crappy xpacs for NGE.

They were wrong to CHANGE...

So bringing back the classic would be as big a mistake as NGE was. This means that drastically changing ANY game is a bad thing, and should be avoided...

DoAC though dead but not as Dead as SWG made a smart move they made a classic server and a server for people that like the regular game. SWG should do the same.

I would think that with all those 'activist' NGE haters, some of them would get together, and map out the elements that made SWG great (not including it being SWG). They could then present this to a game developer, and get a game made that LEARNED from the classic SWG, and created a game that was even better.

Oh, I forget that they are (mostly) whiners... and dont really want to do anything.

Its funny how quickly rumors grow. Smedley said they "They learned a thing or two", and I noticed someone posted "SOE admits NGE was a mistake". Now its already "SOE admits NGE was a great mistake". What is next? "SOE admits NGE was a total disaster" ?

Although, I am a vet of the swg game.. I do not believe that it would be in the best interest of SOE to rollback servers or even change to the pre cu after haivng stayed with the NGE for this long.... I do however feel that it would be a good move for them to create a newclassic server, although I wont cry if they dont... I have more or less moved on, just hoping somewhere down the road of mmo's another will resurface with the options and crafting resource systems of the old SWG.

Your wrong Smedly clearly stated in his post that SWG was a mistake and they are trying to never go down that path again. Reread his post.

Is the exact quote - in case laziness prevents anyone from taking a gander... It's not really a secret... Although, I am sure the NGE let them cut some people or move some people to other games by deducting complexity from SWG... but he always does speak of the NGE with a tone of distaste... as most do... not all of course... but most.

You do realize that - that is one sentence? I mean since it is one sentence and the not listening to the players and repeating mistakes and the NGE are in one complete thought.... He either mistakingly said it or just flat said it... I mean really it's all in one sentence... I do not see how it could possibly be taken any other way...Unless it was said like this..

"The NGE is awesome.(Period) We do not plan to make mistakes like not listening to our players, again. (Period)

Then, that would be two seperate thoughts and the intentions would be known.

Just stop already it is really quite sad.SOE does not care about you (as we have been told repeatedly in other threads) so why would they do this?

I keep hearing that SOE only cares about making money and not about its customers.

So why would they show they care now?

Hell if anything blame the SOE haters for NOT getting the classic servers.I know if i were Smedly and was reading all the horrible and insulting things said about me personally i wouldnt do jack shit for the SWG veterans who were trashing me.

You guys want these servers rolled back but to be honest you dont deserve it whatsoever.I hear things like "ill never play an SOE game all they care about is money".Then i hear other players crying and begging to get classic servers and even typing out longass postings to prove a point to noone.

You guys claim that SOE is greedy.Name 1 company that ISNT in it for profit.Much like anything a SOE hater insulting the company isnt going to get them anywhere.

I never played SWG, ever. I read that post also, and I knew about all the fuss over the NGE in the past. When I read that paragraph, that's exactly what I thought also. He was acknowledging (in a nice way) that they had made a mistake in that whole NGE debacle.

I can't see how it could be read any other way.
