I tried UO 6 or so years ago and decided I liked EQ better. However I feel like I would like to try it again. Graphics is poor, sure, but that is not much of a problem. The only gripe I have is, how much longer will it run? And are there still players actually playing this game?

    I think UO is going to be around for quite awhile more.  There is still a fair amount of people that play.



    Plus, they have the new graphic update that is going to be release hopefully in June, along with an expansion pack that will be released later this year I think involving the Gargoyles.

    You can always try the free trial, though maybe wait for the graphical update called KR in a few months.



    People still play it and if you look for a sandbox game it might be fun, though PvP is full with cheats and crafting pretty much broken at the moment. Still good for simple roleplaying, but most other things other games do way better



    The removal of event masters and a really slow storyline does not help with a game that tries to save cash wherever they can.
