Hi

I was thinking of buying but only have a Nvidia 6200 video card.......I can't up grade now because my car bit the dust so i'm saving for a new one......Does anyone run the game with this card?

Should I buy or wait till i upgrade in about a year?

Tom

I played in beta and did not have too much of an issue but your processor and ram may become an issue. I am sure it is a bit more tweaked since I played but maybe some one that played after launch can help you better. Just be prepared to play on low settings though.

Best thing is to download the DDO trial. If you can run DDO you should be able to run LOTR's. It's using the same game engine which is pretty old now, dating back to AC2.

When I was playing the beta the game ran ok on a nvidia 6150 (onboard), high textures, (not very high), and with post processing and high quality lighting turned off. It really struggled with particle effects though, like the mist in the great barrows. As long as you have 2GB of RAM though, the game will run reasonably well if you tweak the graphics settings - though it won't look as good as some of the screenies you've probably seen.

I upgraded my graphics to play this game (and others) slightly to a 7300 GT, but on ultra high settings, I still get a lowish frame rate (just about noticable) in certain places. If you're going to upgrade, I suggest a 7600 GT or better.

    Hope this helps.
