Like... I don't even want to be able to group in the PvE areas. That means there are other people involved.
It should be Oblivion with a required internet connection that serves no purpose!

Huh?
To the OP, Vanguard sounds exactly like what you're looking for; completely PvE based with no instancing. Give SOE a while to finish it, though. Apart from Korean grinders, I don't know any other games like that. I really think you shouldn't discount a game simply because it makes use of instancing, though. Just because games like Guild Wars and D&D go overboard with it doesn't mean that it isn't useful in other games.
But like someone else said...wait a few weeks and let SoE start making it a decent game first...or your just gonna get that 1 bad impression and not like what is actually a pretty good game.

Wow, we think alike. First your post at VG forum then I read CaesarsGhost's reply and was like .HUH? What the heck is he talking about. Then I read his signiture about "Developing a game on his own". I thought to myself. Wow, I wonder if anywone would be able to play it. I think there would be a problem with people not understanding his intentions.
Anyway, I also concur with Vanguard. I was thinking the same thing with regards to the OP's request. However, eventhough you recommend him to wait I think he should spend more time at the official forums instead of here as well. That way once there is a free trial he can check it out.
also I back you with regards to instancing. Which I believe SOE will probably sometime incorporate down the road. It won't be too hard for them to do this and with most major quests I think it would be an exceptional idea to fix the problems of multi group camping.
To the OP. If you are really wanting to check it out now and not wait. IT is at your own risk as VG is going through hell right now with some issues. Plus even if you have a nice system, you may have problems running it if you don't have a good high end performance video card. Some people think they have a high end just because it is the current series and then they blame the game to be restrictive. However, all I can say is if you have at least a Nvidia 6000, 7000 series...make sure it is a GT or GTX, the SE and others are NOT a performance card and are really only meant to be used for internet browsing and RTS style games. As with ATI, I would consult with someone here that are avid ATI users. They should be able to give you the ins and outs on ATI's performance cards.
The humor of my previous post apparently escaped everybody.

If by that you mean it lacked said quality then yes.
Is there someone who can type for you? This is CG's typist for this post... I'll be typing everything he said once he repeats it.

I have a couple of friends who are your type, and they all play Vanguard. Not a bad game
I would say Vanguard:SoH also.
