The thing we are downloading now is GE Open Beta client 2, which Sword is based off of, but it is not the exact same thing, plus with the preorder box you get a extra goody or two.

BTW I ended up getting the email confirmation about 30 minutes after I signed up for it, so there is a delay but it eventually comes down. Downloaded the 6 (700mb) files, can't wait to try it out when I get home.

From the best I can tell SOTNW and GE is the same game. Both games are English. There will be minor differences in item shops items (NPC cards, clothing, etc) and a few very minor quests, but the gameplay itself should be almost identical.
The biggest difference is payment plan. K2 is buy the box, p2p, and item mall. IAH is f2p with item mall.

Did I get anything for it (obviously its not required to play in the beta)
You bought the K2 SOTNW version. Like Neuronomad said you will probably get a goodie or something when you activate it with your key.
IAH Granado Espada is from Singapore and it is free to play with item mall.
I dunno about you buy I know which one I am playing.
This game is crazy......theres like 1000 people afk botting via ingame patrol feature.....wait i guess its 333 people since everyone is 3 people..lol (my char is actually on a bot patrol right now leveling while im tabbed)
This game reminds me alot of l2....I think its way better though. Does anyone know if there are seiges or anything special?

Yeah this game is total frenzied chaos. Thats what makes it so fun to me. It starts off a little slow to give you time to master the MCC multiple character movement. But once you get into the first dungeon its total mayhem.
From my understanding there is going to be factional pvp called Colony Wars where I think the factions control map areas in the game. I was looking at the item mall in another version (Japanese I think) and there seems to be seige items in there too. Im a little unsure about all this because none of this was in the CB and info is a bit sketchy, so its all new. But yeah I think so.
As far as the botters, yeah it kind of sucks but its good too. On the carebear server if you suspect someone is afk leveling you can just challenge them to a duel and if they dont respond within a few minutes by clicking NO to the challenge then both parties are ported to the pvp map. So you can kill them and get free points. If they want to afk level they can, but it is at risk of getting killed and sent back to town. Free pvp ranking points for those gankers out there. ***EDIT*** well it seems they took out this feature so now you cant touch the afk players.
Of course on the pvp server I think you can just outright gank them after they are family level 6. (Before level 6 its the same duel system on the carebear server).

I dunno about you buy I know which one I am playing. IAH has not yet confirmed which payment scheme they use. remember, those who say it will be free to play with item shop are wishful freeloaders. IAH has not yet released any details.
Now only if I was able to download it, wish they would put it up for download on VGPRo.com as FileAxis is to slow, and I'd be lucky to get it sometime within the next 2 - 3 days using BitTorrent.

I agree the full client and torrent DL needs to be made more efficient. The DL sights are a bit slow. The game client is huge.
However, I DLed the game via the 6 parts option (1 part at a time) they have on launch day. It took me a little over 2 hours. So, not too bad. If you are able to DL 2 or 3 parts at a time it would go much faster.

True IAH has not 100% confirmed it will be f2p, but on the forums the community managers have strongly suggested it. They also make many references on the website about items obtainable in the item shop (clothing, wigs, Super RNPC cards). So whatever the final plan is it should have a cash shop. (Unless they pull a big 180)
Also, I don't think it is fair to sterotype all people who want this game to be f2p as "wishful freeloaders". I will be more than happy to purchase things from the item mall, if and when, the game management company (IAH in this case) proves to me it will maintain and try to improve the game and keep out the bugs, cheaters and hackers. So many of the "asian" f2p games are poorly maintained and not worthy of a cash shop purchase.
The reason I like f2p games is that I get a chance to try them out for a few months (to not only play, but also to see how the management company performs) before I pay money for them. (In particular I have my eye on the special RNPCS for this game). I have in the past wasted so much money on overhyped games that are p2p only to find out a few months into my 6 month subscription that the management company sucks, and regretted it. Imo alot of the p2p games are not much better than the f2p ones. (A few are, but many are not).
Case in point, I feel that Granado Espada is 10 times the game RFO (Rising Force) is. There is no way RF should be a p2p game. Archlord is another example. (Funny its f2p now too). Conversely, Guild Wars is one of the best games of all time. (I don't see how they do it without a cash shop).
Another reason being that I tend to play 3 or 4 different games at time. I may play a game non-stop for a few months, then something new comes out I want to try, and I put it down, only to pick it up later. My on again/off again style just doesn't suit paying monthly fees. I would much rather purchase cash shop items to support a game and play when I like.
Finally, there just isn't a p2p game out in the past few years that has interested me. They are all the same with a different wrapper. I am waiting the next p2p game that will grab my attention. (My hopes are on PoTBS and AOC).
