I think LOTRO is very boring from about 1-20, then it starts getting better once you start doing the instances and more of the fellowship quests. GB is fun, and GA, Fornost, etc, just add to the enjoyment. I think Monster Play is more fun than typical PvP and it just gets better when you start spending destiny points on your monster.
Going solo in Lotro is easy, but can be very boring. I prefer to solo when I am easily distracted and only group when I have a dedicated block of time.
LOTRO is fun so far for me, but I do not play it for hours and hours a day, to busy for that. I only play a little here and a little there, just use it as a break from the real world for a bit. i played WOW and EQ religiously, I mean on the weekends I was on from the time I got out of bed till I had to go back to bed, you miss WAY to much of life that way... If you are bored with the game, maybe try to live life a little and go out and see the sun...
