It has been a good weekend in LOTRO!

Hey guys, I wanted to post a few screens of some of the battles we had this weekend. :)


Fire Drake Battle in Angmar:

Nazgul Battle at the end of Book 5, lots of dread in this fight as you can see why. :)

Me and another kinship mate were working on Book 7, when Dwalin (leader of Thorins Hall) pays our kinship a nice compliment. ;)

    In all honesty, they look as good if not better than the vanguard pics you posted over on that forum.

    Also i've said it like... EVERYWHERE - The game UI May be similar to WoW, but other than that Wow and LoTRo are two DIFFERENT games in their very essence!!

    You must not play the game to make such an incorrect observation. WoW has nothing to compare to the graphics of LOTRO, EQ2 or even Vanguard. You might be in need of a new prescription.

    Completely have to agree on this one.

    World of Warcraft to me, is described as looking like a world made of fun squeeky rubber Fisher-Price toys! That's what appeals to everyone that plays it, including me when I did.

    And I deeply DESPISE LotR after I played the beta. One thing it DID have, was beautiful realistic graphics and in-game play as far as enviroment went.

    Coming from you, this comment surprises me. You've stated (with pic) that you've played so many MMO's. I find it hard to believe you wouldn't understand common characteristics from MMO to MMO that, while they may seem similar, the game itself is entirely different.

    It's like looking at a book and laughing saying it's the same as another book because they "look" the same.

    LOTRO's UI gets it look and tradition from Turbines own past AC2 MMO game. WoW was inspired/copied AC2's UI like it did other parts of other MMO games.

    You've proven two things here. One, you're very immature regardless of the number of MMO boxes you have. Two, you don't read very well. I don't expect you and I to agree on anything. Sorry, thought you were someone else.

    Why is it every picture I see of LOTRO looks like its set at 800X600? Huge UI buttons and player pictures, names and text boxes eat up about 50% of the view? Can you not crank the resolution, and shrink that UI?



    I wouldn't be able to stand that kind of display for more than a few minutes. Just looking at those screens makes me feel claustrophobic.
