I have a few questions that I was hoping you could answer.



1. What Payment methods are supported, are Solo, Switch and the rest supported (UK)?



2. Which version is better? (PC or XBOX 360)



3. Is there Player Housing?



4. Is it endless questing?



5. Whats the gaming community like?

    Credit/debet cards with Visa or Mastercard, only.

    2. Which version is better? (PC or XBOX 360)

    No idea - PC works excellent for me.

    3. Is there Player Housing?

    Yes. But you only have 1 room, and the room size cannot be upgraded. In your room, you can store your items, place furniture and stuff which gives you various effects, and manage a garden which basicly is flowerpots you put there to grow plants, herbs, etc in.



    4. Is it endless questing?

    No. FFXI has it's share of quests and missions, but it's nothing like WoW or EQ2 or anything like that. This is by no means a game where you do quests to lvl, you don't even get exp for them, but they are important for reputation, which again unlocks several features. You do get rewards for quests, but don't consider that as a good way of making money or equipments.

    If you have been playing WoW, don't let this scare you off. Reputation is easy in FFXI, it's not like "kill 500,000 of those mobs, and we'll let you enter 1 more dungeon"..



    5. Whats the gaming community like?

    I'd say it's the best out there. Not the kindergarten community which WoW is "famous" for, quite the opposite.

    Sounds like an interesting game, sadly I'm not sure I would be able to play it if they only support Visa and Mastercard. I guess I can take a look around, but probably find nothing. I'm always surprised how games don't allow for more specific country cards to be used to pay for the monthly fee......

    xbox 360 if u have high def

    not endlessquesting endless mindless grinding , you will level fast to your early 50's then sit in whitegate for hours apon hours apon hours waiting for a party so you can get xp , then comes merit point partys @ lvl 75 good luck if your not a rdm whm nin mnk or war

    5. Whats the gaming community like?

    full of rude ignorant japanese players who will kick you from party's simply because you speak english , they will avoid you party invites with rude comments like [english} {party} {no thanks} an thats if they even respond an hey if u can get the to even respond your doing better then 95% of the population on any server ( the game has an auto translate function so they can understand english ) , beisdes that the game is filled with gil ( ffxi's in game currancy ) farmers from china who rmt , then you have the rest of the player base who majprityly all use bots to camp nm's an force u to buy inflated gear off the auction house



    i was a lvl 75 rdm , 75 nin , 75 war  retired 3 months an loving it i played this game in its peak an watched it slowly die because of the Real Money Trading going on , once apon a time a kirins odse or byakkos hyidate was a rare privalage to own in this game (only obtained by lvl 75 full raiding party's in sky ) by the time i left these where being sold for 300k gil each buy rmt's an buy amature rmt's like this guy who was found out an hounded off ifrit http://ffxi.allakhazam.com/forum.html?forum=44;mid=1177006036255643948;num=128;page=1



    i would say to you why would you want to become party of a community in a game that is run an opperated by gil sellers an rude japanese players who hate american an uk players

    especia;y given the games age an the new mmorpg soon to come out

    go try lord of the rings online far more simple fun mmorpg though that is its over all downfall

    or everquest II very much like ffxi but with a more friendly community the ability to solo or group with players all the way to lv 70 , in ffxi your pretty much stuck to grouping all the way to 75

    Rpro, I totally agree. This post are pure lies from a person who has no idea what he's talking about! Just his comment where he claims "Everquest II is very much like FFXI" proves what we're dealing with here...

    Some of what he said was full of shit. but... lots is true, he just seems super bitter.

    The RMT in FFXI may seem like a small market to anyone playing WoW.

    it was very bad.

    SE keeps banning the RMT and all our gil goes along with them, which fucks up the economy.

    But we deal.

    in the end its much more time consuming than any other MMO you will have played if u want to get anywhere in endgame.

    and for the most part, the players are more mature.

    SE continuously adds content, more than i think other developers do, i beleive my money actually goes towards bringing more to the game.

    Oh yeah and the macro sys will drive you crazy.

    Bullshit. FFXI has the best community out there. If you constantly encounter rude players, maybe you should take a look at your own behaviour?

    Slow learner, maybe? Macros in FFXI are extremely easy to learn, and to use. If you need help with it, I have a post somewhere on this forum about it.

    Anyone can bust on a game, but people need to remember, its 95% personal prefference.

    i find the macros much better than other games , maybe cause i've been usin em for 3 years xD lol

       Yeah i can't argue with this statement what so ever because its the sad truth. I feel bad for anyone who attempts to play it nowadays. FFXI is so strongly based on community to accomplish goals. Reling on 6,12,18, 32 people.  Everyone talks about how wnderful the party system is. Then again they leave out the complaining about sitting arond for 4+ hours doing nothing because nobody wants to party with them, or you can't find certain jobs, or your not the popular job at the time so everyone ignores you.  An then what are you gonna do. You can't farm or craft because then your full o fcrap you have to dump to hurry up an join a party. I know you can't solo anything. Even E.P an wothwhiles will leave a player with a sliver of health.

      Players mention the storyline. Which i agree is nice and all. But how is anyone nowadays gonna find the amount of people to do them with. I remember back when this game was new, an it was a pain in the backside then to find a group who was interested in doing it. I can only imagine now how bad it is nowadays.  Then to top it all off there is over 4 different contents to go thru, and some of those are stricked lvl cap. Throw in finding players that are willing to help with AF quests, and quests to raise your lvl cap..

    Gimme a break..."
      LMAO getting parties is 90% of the game. The  9% is making gil. Either by crafting, fishing, mining or hunting. The other 1% is nm camping.
