Just got a warning email and my thread removed for my post regarding the NDA. I guess its against the rules to ASK about the game if its under a NDA. SO- If you do post on the forum asking for information or revaealing you will be censored. Just a heads up. This is unless the post I started- " Anyone want to spill the beans..." actually resulted in some information being revealed. I admit i was reaching a bit in hope someone was stupid enough to say something- but I really was trying to make the point that the game must be lots-o-fun if no one is quitting/ranting on any forums. I mean if we were all playing LOTR or Vanguard under a NDA i'm sure you would have some quitters ranting on the forums: "dont play this game it sucks". (those games suck I can't believe Gamespot gave LOTR a 9.0!). Anyway...I CANT WAIT FOR NEXT ROUND!
Oh and btw- If your system specs have changed /brag I just recenlty purchased a second gig of RAM and 8600GTS /bragoff IF you have a Ncsoft account you can use the customer support email system and they will update it for you. Just provide the user name and email address you registered with. Actually CuppaJo was my contact belive it or not. They must be workin him like a dog! Props CJ!

Wow! If you are going to brag about getting a second gig of ram and a 8600 GTS then you need to get out more and see what real computers are made of.
Its not against any rules to ask for information on the game. Anything that has been mentioned in an interview / article / posted on a fan-site by CuppaJo can be discussed.
On the other hand - asking people to post information that is not publically available - I can see that being a minor problem.
Someone actually posting non-public information is actually violating the NDA and is a big problem.
Thats the impression I got from your post - but I can also see how it could easily have been taken the other way.
Ooooh are you in trouble - CuppaJo is a lady so your suggestion that they work HER like a DOG might raise some hackles
no kidding
but that is how a lot of these sites start out
then you start making money off of them and all those rules start to appear
i see no problem asking people to break an NDA - it is up to them to do so, isn't it?

You are so right I actually saw that on the stratics forum today and was hoping I hadnt used any pronouns in my post/email replys. I am such a chauvinist shame on me! Assumption is the mother of all what? Sorry Cuppa! *blow kiss* * wink* LOL.
just purchased your second gig of ram? Are you new? LOL
4gb ddr2 sdram (667 mgz dual ranked)
dual 256 7900 gs's
can I come play in your sand box?
I think game forums are becoming a waste of time.either their to commercially influenced,or thier run by some nut.Theres better things to do,even play old games than waste time with this crap.
Well I have two words for you: SLi and DX10 :-P
My suggestion, get a really good kit of 2x1gb. Or 2x2gb for bragging rights. 4x1gb is a joke.
8600gt is a horrible video card. Not even worth mentioning. It's so bad, you can't brag about it. Since people will just laught at you and then smack you for being a tard. Anywho, the x19xx series is better, but the 8600gt has DX10 support. That's its only highlight.
Playing: WoW,
Played: Aion, AoC, Eve, EQ, EQ2, LOTRO, Runescape, Guild Wars, DAoC, Planetside, SWG, WAR, Darkfall
Wanting to try: DCU Online
Waiting For: Star Wars The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2.
I thought Vista could support more than 4gb and that XP only supported 2.
Well, if anybody wants to go waste their own money making a "gamers" forum to break NDAs and the like, by all means, go ahead and do it. I doubt it is gonna last long when the first of the big houses get a sniff of it, but it is your money on the line, so what do I care.
For your information, if you are NOT in good relationship with the devs, you get NO news, no exclusive, no articles, nada.
This IS a news site about MMorpg, not only a forum so it seems smart to me that they do not consider the game companies the "enemy".
Beside, their reviews seems fair to me, games don't get over ranked here, now do they?
Oh. and OP: Gamespot gave lotro 8.3, not 9? maybe you got confused?

win xp supports 4gb ram its 32 bit OS so 32^2 =4,096 MB. when you put four gigs in xp it shows 3.5gb.Thats because the southbridge is allocating about 500mb.
vista will only support over 4gb if you have the 64 bit version.you can request it from ms after you register vista.or buy it as an oem.being 64bit it can address a ton of memory.but ms limited basic 64 to 8gb,the next 16gb,and the rest are pretty much unlimited.Atm theres no 4gb memory stick out there. And since boards have 4 dimm slots ,the most ram you could have atm is 8GB.
P.S.- To all those haters on this thread that said something similar to this- don't get jealous just spend more money on your system and post here to tell me about it. I'm sure you'll feel better after that.
Also, don't forget that for the moment, DX10 is taking a performance hit compared to DX9 with very little payoff...and likely, by the time everything's well and sorted out and DX10/Vista is flying high, the 8600 series is going to have been replaced by at least one if not two generations of cards (I'm talking steps, not entire chipset families)....back to there being nothing worth bragging about regarding your video card.
I realize you've purchased these things as an investment for the future, but the truth is now is not the time to make be making that sort of investment. Buying midrange hardware for the support of brand new technologies is a bad idea, because you get both the hit for the new technology not being fully supported/configured/efficient/figured out yet by developers/designers resulting in a good deal of loss, combined with not enough overall horsepower to attempt to make up for that loss. While getting two cards and going sli will help you defeat that, throwing even more money at a mediocre solution isn't really going to make the solution become a good one.
Also 2 Gigs of RAM has been most serious computer users' default for a couple of years by now...and if you're running Vista in order to get your precious DX10 you're really going to want 4 Gigs, 2GB in Vista being more akin to having 1GB in XP.
Don't get me wrong, congrats on your stuff, every decent upgrade is worthy of celebration, but it's not like you've gotten ahold of anything spectacular.
