World of Warcraft: Children's Week

SzarkSzark News ManagerMember Posts: 4,420

Children's Week is a holiday celebrated across Azeroth. It is a time when heroes can take a break from their lives as adventurers and give something back, by taking a young orphan under their wing and showing them the ropes.

Children's Week is celebrated once a year in Orgrimmar, Stormwind, and Shattrath City. The week-long celebration is a time to give back to the innocents of war: the orphans! Learn more about this special in-game event and its new rewards on our updated

Read more Children's Week information page.

All orphans wish they had someone to show them the wonders of the world. Throughout the year, they spend their time wandering around their home cities of Stormwind or Orgrimmar, dreaming of the day they'll be old enough (and big enough) to venture out into the world alone and see the sights their parents would have shown them. During Children's Week, though, brave adventurers for the Horde and the Alliance can make these kids' dreams come true! To help these kids see the world, all you have to do is visit the orphanage for your faction. Talk to either Orphan Matron Nightingale in Stormwind (Alliance) or Orphan Matron Battlewail in Orgrimmar (Horde). After that, you and your young friend can adventure together across Azeroth! Below are some of the places and people the orphans want to visit:

  • The bank in Darnassus (Alliance)
  • The lighthouse in Westfall (Alliance)
  • Jaina Proudmoore in Theramore (Alliance)
  • Mor'shan Rampart (Horde)
  • Lordaeron Throne Room (Horde)
  • Cairne Bloodhoof in Thunder Bluff (Horde)

Another proof that WoW is not a game to play. It is a game to live for nolives.

    Pathetic.

Wonder why there is no Sims online yet.

"nolives" eh? Good thing you told me that, now I have to go on TS and tell our 2 married couples in our guild that they have no life, poor people :-(

It is beyong me why some people always have to insult and discredit others for playing a game they like. God forbid people logon and have fun, that would be aweful.

Yeah, they do a lot of things yearly.  This was around last year as well, only this year it has been expanded and there is an Outland series of pet quests you can do for one of 3 entirely new pets.  The old quest in Azeroth is also still available.

[Here's a list of all the games I've played and/or my computer specs to show how much more seasoned or technologically advanced I am than you.]

I've been wondering, a lot of time Blizzard has in game events or holidays that correspond to holidays in other countries. Is this somehow related to some nation's holiday or festival? Btw, I got a kick out of escorting my urchin about, and the floating eye thingy is a hoot.

EQ1, EQ2, SWG, SWTOR, GW, GW2 CoH, CoV, FFXI, WoW, CO, War,TSW and a slew of free trials and beta tests

It's quests like these that make WoW such a fulfilling experience.

If I may ask a dumb question, is there faction reward for doing this?
  • OverthrowOverthrow Member Posts: 1

I'm not sure about faction...but little Egbert is well worth the running around. Just take a mage with your group for porting and it'll be a bit less painful.
