Unable to log onto DAOC after patch

My wife and myself on two differnt computers can no longer access the game. Run on LAB client...xp...never had a problem till last "patch". Customer service has no idea why out two computers can suddenly not run the game. As soon as i enter my password and click to enter game DAOC block just drops off my screen..no error message...screen just drops all traces of  DAOC.I really don't understand DAOC logic...my computer is almost state of the art...ran game fine prior to patch yet nowe have to find out whats wrong with MY computer....and MY wife's.

    which firewall do you have? you have to put game.dll do the "allowed" list of your firewall manually so it doesn't block game.dll

    EDIT: try different client too, I just understood your post and I don't really think that your firewall is the reason why you can't play daoc

    I just tried and mine worked.  You called CS and they couldn't help?  Did they offer to get back with you and take your DXDIAG info?  I hope so. 



    The most likely causes are:



    1.  Hardware issue - so maybe your router

    2.  File corruption (maybe delete some files and have it repatch - or run the complete file check.

    3.  A virus on both of the computer.

    I had the same problem after the patch running the ToA client but i used the Catacombs Client and it worked.  I assume they still have a few issues to work out with the different clients.  Try using different clients or logging into the test server.
