open beta and release dates
When is Darkfall entering open beta testing? We are hoping for a open beta test of Darkfall in Q4 2002. The word "Delay" is very common in the game development industry though, so we can only hope and guess at this stage. When will Darkfall be released? We are hoping for a Q1 2003 release of Darkfall. Again, delays happen, but we are working hard to get Darkfall ready for release. The only thing we can say for sure, is that Darkfall wont be released till it is finished and running stable.

I think the devs always will be remembered for that statemant "beta in 02 or 04". Even when the game is released. They must really regret that they said anything about it.
depressing. i was so excited about this game then and before. now...i have pretty much come to the conclusion that this game will NEVER be released. Even when it does it will be so outdated now that the general public will not buy it. yes..you will always have the hardcore pvpers that will try it out but that alone does not fund a game. i will continue to check in and keep my fingers crossed but being totally honest with myself this game will never see the light of day.
Darkfall isnt outdated yet
All other MMO developers have still not come up with something better

first off.. how do you know it would be outdated ? .. how you seen it? have you tried it? chances are not very big for that.
2nd. this is a mmorpg it promise alot and tbh. i woulnt like to try it if it turns out to be just another failure like Vanguard etc. of course i cant wait to try the game and i do have my doubt that i ever will be able to do so. But i HOPE
even if i get disapointed.. ill be happy to just have the chance to try it at some point, and at that time when it comes out.. i eiter got other things to do in life or another game to play.. or of course 3rd.. RIP :P
Yes I have seen it. Everyone has. Outdated in the fact that the graphics look ancient. Yes that may not be a big concern for the hardcore pvpers and old UOers but for the mass market which Darkfall will need to cut in to to survive they want graphics and shiny UIs.
Doesn't really matter though b/c unfortunately this game will never come out.
i've seen the screenshots and they look awesome, compared to Aoc and WAR screenshots i'd prefer to and would choose darkfall over those games any day...graphics does matter but gameplay matters more just look at what happened to vanguard...supposedly awesome graphics on high end computers but gameplay sucks...
UO on the other hand has cheap graphics (for today's standards) but gameplay was awesome, lots of people enjoyed it and some are still even playing it....
