Over the weekend, I was monitoring server status and during the evening on Monday (GMT 6pm onwards) 7 servers had HEAVY, 10 had Medium and the rest were light with one very light.
Has Chapter 6 brought the crowds flocking back? Will the house purge increase numbers even more?
It's great to see alot of old faces back and new players starting in Mos Eisley and joining in the celebrations. It must be odd for them to log in and see scores of toons erm, dancing!

I'm using the 14 day trial vet players have, and I think that Chimaera is very well populated.
By reading some messages here before going to play I was thinking that the server would be a ghost town, but I was wrong.
Not the numbers I've seen when I started playing in 2003 but this MMORPG has 4 years and that would be impossible even without all the crap SOE has done in the past.
Currently I'm having FUN in the game, the Legacy quests are cool and I even grouped with 3 guys while doing some of them in Tatooine.
It reminded me of the old days, groups for hunting squills in Tat or Sharnaffs in Corelia and If thinks keep on going this way I will subscribe the game again.
"If we don't attack them, they will attack us first. So we'd better retaliate before they have a chance to strike"
My brother and myself have come back, both pre-nge vets.
Both of us are loving the game again, mainly cos CH are back kind of and all the bugs have been fixed.

I think this post was pure sarcasm - hah!
Creature Handler is not back. There's a new sub class called "BeastMaster" which allows you to create a "pet". This pet is for show, not combat.
Creature Handlers were able to possess a LOT of creatures. Please correct me, but I've heard you can have a maximum of 3 pets?
Actually you can have more than 3 pets in the datapad, and pets can be made for
combat or just to ride around on.(oh i know that you can have more than 3 pets in
the datapad but i dont know the exact number more)

This is why you really need to research before you post
Pets you make through the Beast Master system certainly aren't just for show. They can be pretty damaging in combat, but it depends on how much detail you went into during the crafting/incubation process of the pet and what abilities you've taught the pet.
You can have up to 12 combat pets. The 3 pets quote floating around comes from a Dev saying you'd probably only have a need to have 3 pets in your datapad.
LMAO well you have just discredited yourself to the point of pure trolling! Have you actually taken the time to read anything I mean one little thing at all about Beast Master ? We know for sure that you have no clue as to what your talking about. Want to show us where you came up with that brilliant concept of pets only no combat? Do you have that in writing anywhere? Yea didn't think so.
You can have up to 12 combat pets if you wanted. Basiclly you can have any combination of 12. So if you have an AT-RT and AV-21 in your datapad then you can have 10 more pets whether there combat beast or mounts. I guess all of the Beast Master expertise that pertain to combat abilities are there for show.
As a matter fact you can learn specials that other similar creatures in game use on you and teach them to your pet as long as they are similar style creatures.
Wargassm,
It does take some time to experiment on your pet however 20+ hours is really high. My experimentation sessions run 14 hours. So I can basiclly make a pet every 2 days. If you spend the exp points in that skill tree it will dramaticlly cut down your experimentation times. Also the incubator it'self will help with that depending on the quality of the incubator.

Yes more people should realize that half of what a certain group says is complete rubbish and has no leg to stand on. Glad to see you realized that. This game is not going anywhere but up.
Now for you server question. If you are in the US I would suggest the following... Bloodfin, Bria, Ahazi
If your in Europe Obriak might be able to answer that better as I'm not sure about the European servers.
I'm in Europe and I am on Bloodfin

Makes me feel good to see this old game doing so well again.
Some folks still feel burned by SOE/LA and won't ever play it again. I can understand that (my own cousin is one of these).
Me, I take a different view.
I love MMO's and I love Star Wars.
Now that the game is actually fun again, we can expect to see it continue to rise in population.
I miss the good ol' days when nerds were actually intelligent.
