Would you all return to WoW...If?

Now really how many of you have actually played wow, left and not looked back..Alot of us.

What I am asking after reading a few threads ripping WoW is.

Would you return to World of Warcraft if they:

Balanced PvP

Made the world changeable, E.G- Guild cities, cities/towns that horde/alliance can control and raid to take over(Of all levels so noobs can experience it too)

More crafting options, not just crap to explode, make your equipment better or to wear.

Leaving an imprint on the game, so things you do change for other players...So have the major cities owned by a guild which they defend ever week or so..Upping AH commision, repair prices etc. When you kill a boss, it tells everyone and you get a title " Slayer of Ragnaros"-----Also other titles for killing a certain amount of monsters etc.

Housing, have your own house you can decorate.

Last thing, Multi-person transport...No more you have to tell your party member who lives nextdoor and just started to run somewhere..Get him on your mount/transport and take him there.

Now I know most of this will never happen, but hey it's a hypothetical question..Not a prediction.

One thing that really annoyed me when I made my new account and returned to WoW is that they have removed PvP ranks. So on my level 42 Rogue with 900 Horde kills, I don't even get a title Private or whatever...Can anyone reply and tell me why they removed this??

I think it was to make it so that you could get the good items from pvp w/ out spending months of your life to get the rank req (though i think that you should still get the title since you already had, course i think that the titles should be availible to everyone just for asthetics).

Now to the rest of your thread, yes to everything except the AH and repair prices stuff.  I honestly wish they would remove both (or at least the repair prices)  and for that matter, remove soulbound items, i really don't like it (though some items should be bind on pickup).  All that repair prices are, are a money sink that serves no purpose.  And While i still play wow (well sort of anyway, time card ran out and i decided to take a little break) i think my answer still applies.

No, im done with Wow. I played for 2 years. and if they made all does changes you going to see people playing for 24 hours straight and people would get rich with gold farming.

Any of those change will bring tons of players back AND pull even more players.

I'm happy with a new class.

Btw.. perfect balance in pvp? It'll never happen.. but I suspect it isnt such a big issue. Every class has its own counters and strengths.

I would return if they took away item centric PvP(ie, raids). Otherwise, I think its a great game.

I'm done with WoW.  When you have leveled almost every class up to 60 and you don't like PvP or Raiding then there isn't much left for you.  They can put in new quests, but it's still the same old song after you have done it so many times already.

Can't return somewhere where I haven't ever even be =)

Balanced PvP in game where is also PvE is pretty much same as destroyed PvE game.

PvP requires balance between player characters. PvE requires diversification between player characters and balance between player character and enviroment. Diversification and balance are pretty much opposite thing.

Would I play WoW, nope, because the community.

I've played since open beta on and off - the last break I had was because I was geared up for Vanguard.  After that debacle I gave LoTRO a try, enjoyed it but not enough to subscribe.  I tried a few of the free games but didn't find one I enjoyed.  So I've gone back to WoW while I'm waiting for AoC to be released (and maybe Hellgate:London).

Bottom line is I still find WoW enjoyable after levelling every class on both sides to 60 numerous times - and since I'd left before the expansion I get to play around with something new.  I think it will always be the sort of game I'll come back to when something else disappoints / fails to develop or release / etc.

Those changes sound nice but Im content if they allowed us to go to Northrend and let us kill a certain lich king.

I have played since the release date. I recently quit, same reason as most, once you get all the class's to 70 there is nothing left to do but get items.  It is the same thing over and over.  The only way I would even thing about going back, is if PvP was more interesting.  As you said, install a guild controlled town.  Just as DaoC did, though it was RvR.

Removing the ranking system really upset me as well.

i left wow months ago and i must say it was an ok game but for someone like me who is a SOLOIST once i hit 60 it was down hill i even bought burning crusade i played it 1 hour and turned my subscription off it was the same crap to me and the game no longer appeals to a soloist its all groups or raids which i dont like! Now for me to come back mae a ton more solo instances and game play and get off the raid group bandwageon

Solo instance, IMO wouldn't be fun at all..Where is the challenge if it is soloable?

If an instance is for solo, that means they will make it so every level 70 can solo that instance, meaning uber money.

That would unbalance the game so bad it's unreal.

he is describing the ideal MMOG there.

the same could be aplied to any other game

all its left inthere is to remove classes (make it skill based)

any game puts all those aspects in they will get a large number of subs

If all of those changes were made, still no. The combat isn't fun enough - you don't have enough interaction, as with most games. But some games make it feel like you have more interaction, well with me at least (ex. Faster Moving in combat to make it more intense)

But to know if all those changes were made, that would be some pretty sweet game besides combat. A lot more people would come to play it. I especially like the multi-person transport thing. It would seem logical you could fit two people on one of those horses anyways, and possibly the gryphon (I don't know how to spell it.)

p.s. The PvP combat is good enough.

We can only hope that they
    will come really soon.

Exactly..Also a problem I have with WoW is it has little to non noob things..

It has like what, 5 noob sets, instances...Yeah fair play we have a few instances, we don't have any options other than that though. WoW is a level 60+ game, if your a casual player and don't intend to power to level 60-70 then the game screws you for not having that time.

All the previous things listed by myself, and more noob content would mean WoW was the ultimate game...just have to hope WoW2 will give us everything we want. But I know if AoC or WAR comes out and has anything I have listed I will be going to them in a heartbeat.

I played WoW since 2005, and put it down about one month ago.

I don't think I would go back, just because of what it did to me socially. The ideas you have for the taking over towns and such, sounds too [excuse this statement and write it off as not racist] korean. I loved WoW as it was. I didn't like that none of the armor was to any use if you did raiding, however. I didn't like the time required to do instances, or having to be online at certain times of the day to stay as a member of my guild. To be honest, I don't think I liked any of your ideas. :/ WoW was one of those games that was fine to me as it was.

I'd only return to WoW if they would get the level cap to 100 at least, so not everybody in the game got the highest level. Of course there needs to be loads of stuff added for the level 70s to 100+s. I don't like that everybody in the game is the highest level, I know Blizzard is trying to play it smart so there will be no end to the game because there is endless posibilities in the future. But why would you wait so long for level 100 if you can also get level 300 in that time, what's the difference about it? A MMORPG with a level 300+ limit isn't bad, so why wouldn't you do that then? Almost nobody will be that level within a year, so lots of things to do, and no one getting pissed about it.

Oh yea, I'll only return if Diablo 3 will be no MMORPG (because those are my favorite series of all times) and if I get tired of LotRO. (don't believe that will happen, it rules)

I found the same thing. Though I maxed a couple of characters to 70. I liked WoW but for me it lacked any reason to play once I'd maxed out as I like soloed play. The game is too directed to group play. Now there is nothing wrong with being in a group but most of the time I only have an hour or two to play. So I kind of was stuck to solo play or dropping out of a raid half way through which is something nobody wants. For me to return they would have to increase level cap by more than 10 and make it more solo friendly.

The most disappointing thing about WoW is that (imo) much less than 0.5% of players will actually reach all the content. for example how many people in the world actually fought to the end of Nax? how many people on your server have cleared Mount Hyjal?

    Extremely few...

Maybe 1-3 guilds per faction per server, each with 40-60 people per guild, 250 odd servers?

Thats about 30,000 people....out of 8,000,000+ (probably alot less then 30k)

A vast majority of players wont even step foot in serpentshrine cavern in 2007, if ever.....

I was in a guild that basically could clear Karazhan and thats the best it could do, too many casual players when you need to be 'hardcore' to even stand a chance at 25-mans. I left after 2months of karazhan grinding and failed attempts at Gruuls Lair and Mag.

95 days played, 36 k kills in pvp, 6 boss in naxxramax, C'thun left alone in An Qirajh... my guild was destroyed with the pre-BC patch, as my character class (rogue only)... too much wasted content to didn't have a bitter taste in my mouth... rush to 70 and after ? it was like to begin level one again, and grind, grind, grind... if they had updated the old raid content may be.

but, it's somewhat cool because i get rid of my addiction.

I would maybe return to WoW if they did an original ruleset server. And maybe if twinking were dealt with.
