Paradise Planets

in Starport: Galactic Empires
Ok, I've been playing for about a week now and I've been looking all over for a paradise planet to colonize, but I don't know what I'm looking for!  What does it look like?  Also, I have 3rd level scanners, so will I be able to tell a planet is a paradise planet if I just scan the galaxy?  Thanks!

    lol there a kind of a mix of a earth/rocky planet i think.
    My corp has all three in the game i currently play (i forgot the name sorry)

    i will take a screenshot when i have the time and post it for ya :D

    I colonised a planet last night but i dont know what im doing... What is a paradise planet? I wish there was more detail about how you play this game.

    A screen shot sure would help... also, would you be able to tell if a planet was a paradise planet just by your scans?  Thanks!

    The fact that it's a paradise won't affect the scanners. But the paradise planets start out with colonies, so they will always register at least as colonies on your scan.

    Malkavian, make sure you check out the StarPedia in-game for help. It is accessible through the menu at the top of the screen, under "Computer".

    Thanks Toonces!  At least I don't have to check out every single planet now...  Oh yeah, you should play drunk...  It's more fun that way.  :)

    Lot of players will hold a grudge against me because I reveal too much information pertaining to Paradise planets and Trade Routes etc. but the quickest way to find them is simply go to a bartender at starports and keep buying $500 drinks until he tells you the location of one of the three Paradise planets. Once you come by one you'll know it for sure, it's bigger then most colonizable planets and has whitish veins on it's Earthlike appearance.

    Yeah, I knew about that one.  I've never got him to tell me about it though.  I only get locations of artifacts.

    That's odd. I usually get the location after 3-4 starports, I believe you can buy around 10 Hullbangers ( $500 drinks ) before he becomes afraid that you'll get alcohol poisoning and won't sell you anymore :)

    On that note, when he tells you the location all you have to do is use the oh-so-handy feature which tells you the exact co-ordinates of the system :) i.e /where Omega Leonis
