The website is fine, I was just adding an anti bot security question to the forums...anyhoo
I went to Mythic studios last week and interviewed Sanya Weathers, the interview is posted on our forums in the After World Community thread. We covered topics concerning guild beta, guild features, capital city raids, instance size and numbers and more, feel free to check it out at www.afterworldgaming.com
We are still looking for more members, our forums are rocking we have a bit of active people and a great group of people all around with much info on the game. The guild is very organized with a skilled leader who is very dedicated..
We have signed up for guild beta and are awaiting confirmation to see if we get in, I am also talking to new contacts at Mythic now that Sanya has left. Im hoping to do an interview with Paul in the middle of fall sometime. We'll just have to wait and see how that goes. Our playerbase is nearing 200 and our forums are lit up daily with new posts. We have changed the site around a little bit over the past couple of weeks, some areas are still being worked on, nothing major though. Come check us out, join us, or just stop by to chat with us.
Well.... we are well over 120 members. By members I mean people have havee applyed and been excepted. Regestered people passes that number by quite a lot. It's turning into a tight knit community and were starting to play other games together while waiting for a game. Although it's not the official Vent we have acquired a temporary server for members. So check out the website... it has been changed quite a bit (And trust me... it's awesome). Fill out an app and with know time you'll be with experianced, wellrounded, and incredibly hospitable gamers.
Well, we broke the 200 registered users mark on the forums, growing steadily. Anyway, im going to gamesday Baltimore in June (maybe July, ill have to check again) but im going to get alot of good game footage and pictures while im there. So if you are a member or just someone who browses our forums, keep an eye out for all the videos posted on the site from gamesday.
On a side note, we have most of our leadership structure in place now, theres still some shuffling left to do, but there are several high ranking positions left to be filled, im looking for active members of the guild who show an interest in helping the guild and its members grow, come check us out and see if After World looks like a good place to call home in W.A.R.
200 users, seems like yesterday I was about the 7th one . If you want a great guild with an awesome atmosphere, nice people that plan on dominating the game when its released - After World is where you need to be. Come and apply, be welcomed by our awesome member base.
After being part of After World for roughly a week I just want to update here saying it's a very positive experience.
It's hard finding Guilds this early prior to release that are as active. Khyber, the Guild Leader is doing a great job keeping and planning the guild together. A great and dedicated leader. If you're looking for fun, commitment and leadership in a guild, join After World!
I jumped on board with After World about 3 weeks ago and i have to say im impressed. A well organized Destruction guild with many active members. Our numbers are growing by the day and everyone ive talked to is polite and mature. Im very happy where im at and suggest you take a look at our site.
Over the past 3 days, alot of drama has surrounded this thread, accusations were made about the guild leader and its members, the thread was locked and members were banned. I just want to say that appologies have been made to After World by the MMORPG team and by the poster that made the accusations, the thread has been unlocked and the bans have been lifted.
I appreciate the MMORPG team for looking into this matter with an open mind and verifying that the claims made about the guild were all false, as well as those claims about the guild members. It's unfortunate that the poster of these claims handled the situation as carelessly as he did rather than using the appropriate avenues supplied by Khyber to handle these types of issues. However, Khyber has suggested that we move on and put this ordeal behind us.
I would also like to explain After Worlds recruiting method, because some people think we are trying to create a zerg guild and that is far from the truth. Our playerbase goal is to have enough active players in the guild to achieve anything the game has to offer, Khyber is not concerned with having the largest guild, he could care less about that, as a matter of fact he will be removing players that are inactive every week once in game, he cares about having an active guild, and a guild that accomplish any goal they seek to accomplish.
Im sure all of you know that just because you invite 500 members to your guild, you dont have 500 active members in your guild, you get about 1 active member for every 10 you invite, so we are recruiting based on that, and we will be openly recruiting until the games release, at which time we will evaluate the guilds active playerbase and recruit as needed to get where we need to be.
Right now we have 220 registered users on our forums, about 150 of those applied for membership, of those 150 we have about 30 active posters on the forums, so, we're not a zerg guild, we are just trying to meet our playerbase goals.
Also, just in case someone asks, the reason Khyber hasnt removed the inactive posters from the forums is because he has decided to wait until closer to the games release to do so, he thinks (and I agree) that as the games release draws closer, more and more of those inactive members may come out and begin to show interest, which makes sense.

Hey guys, just wanted to specify. The MMORPG.com staff reviewed the thread locking and decided that it was unwarranted to lock the thread. However, MMORPG.com has not verified that any claims are true or false, and remains neutral in this dispute as well as any other personal disputes on our website.

Well, thats completely understandable and we appreciate you making a statement to clarify your position on the dispute.
Back to After World
We are improving the website design and it is looking pretty good I must say, were adding some functionaility to it as well as updating it from the May newsletter. Khyber as well as a couple of other members are preparing for a trip to Baltimore to attend gamesday there, so several stories, pictures and videos will be posted on the site in late June/early July from that event.
Every day After World grows as a community with new members signing up and new post being made on our forums. Personally After World has the most active forums I have ever seen in a guild, espesionally before the game is released . Currently the After World has around 10-50 post per day, depending on the day. You do not have to be over the age of 18 to join After World. If you are interested and want some more information about After World you can PM me on my MMORPG account or on my After World account and I will assist you with any question you may have.
This thread was dead. Was there a reason you made a new account here so you could bump it by repeating something that your ZERG members have said 100 times here already? Don't call your ZERG a guild. It is an insult to people who actually know what a guild is.
Honestly, almost ALL guilds that are pre-beta or during beta are zerg, this one has higher standards, if you "zerg" and drop those people who aren't wanted after WAR comes out. I find that a smart idea...

And from what I have seen, this is what the guild is doing. As someone previously mentioned before: The Game is not out yet. We do not know for sure who is "truly hardcore", and who is just saying that they're hardcore. Obviously, with 200+ Members, all saying that they're hardcore, you are going to have a few people who won't fit in. Because we don't really know these people personally, recruiting every single person you see, and then when the game comes out, and you know what people will contribute to the guild, picking those who fit in is usually a smart move.
I feel ashamed not posting here before. But here I am now. I have joined this guild about 4 months ago. I originally found out about the guild from this thread, actually. I have gotten to know the members, and the guild as a whole. And I can say that this is everything I hoped it to be. There is a sense of community even though the game is 6 months until release.

You're an insult to humans, you just jumped into a thread after reading maybe the last 5 posts made in it and thought you were literate enough to give an opinion about it, you failed. I didn't make a new account, evident by the "OP" marked on all my posts, you must have missed that, failed again.
We have about 30'ish active members on our forums, so where do you get "zerg guild" from, because we have 300 registered users? If you want a guild of 50 members, are you going to recruit 50 people and stop, if you did you would have about 5, maybe 6 people in your guild that were active. You obviously haven't played many games or been in many guilds, khyber and myslef have about 20 years of MMO experience combined, so I think we will stick with our recruiting plan, because we know how to build an organized guild.
We will recruit until we reach our active playerbase goal, remove any inactives and recruit selectively after that as needed to maintain an active playerbase, you dont like it, too bad, dont join, you wouldnt make it anyway, because you fail.
Mentose. Why do you even care what we do. If you want to talk about Afterworld you should have joined and got informed about who we are before you came and shot your mouth off. At the end of the day why do you even care if we are a "zerg guild" as you call us or not. Are you that lonely that you seek attention from people you don't know by talking about things you have no bases of information on?
How about you go your way and we'll go ours. Maybe your fine someone one day to give you that hug that you seek.
AfterWorld recruits anyone and everyone. Need proof? OK! I AM (or was) a part of your guild. I applied under the name "Knuckeltrapz". I suggest you go to the recruitment section of your forum and look at my "application". It wasn't really an application per se, but more of a request for information about the guild. I specifically said that I was looking into several guids at several sites and that I was in NO HURRY to join a guild. Within minutes of posting, I was accepted into the guild and also given full access to the message boards. No one talked to me or gave me any information. I was immedietly accepted. I looked on your guild-only message boards, and the major topic of discussion was how many sites you could spam on to get more members.
Face facts. You're a zerg. You accept anyone that applies without even talking to them. At another website I got several people to apply to your guild as a joke, just to see if they were accepted. They ALL were.
If anyone doesn't believe me, just go to www.afterworldgaming.com forums, look under recruitment, and then scroll down to "Knuckelz Application". I got welcomed by at least a dozen people almost immedietly. Hurry, though, because I am sure they are going to delete the thread as soon as they find out how moronic it makes them look.

seems to me you guys want to be elitist and you guys cant do that with inexperienced members in the guild.
even though no one has really played the game yet.
