I`m not one of the anti SOE people here, but they`ve done something that`s pissed me off. Some of my friends recently quit WoW and returned to EQ1. I play EQ2 but I have some high lvl toons on EQ1 so I decided to transfer my old accout toons to my Station Pass account (no extra charge that way to play) so we could play together. Today I got my credit card statement and SOE charged me $375 for 3 toons that were moved. How do they justify $375 for moving 3 toons? I`m going to call them in a while when they are in their businees hours and see what they have to say. I`ll write back with their response. I hope this insane charge was just a mistake.

It's $375 to change 3 characters between accounts AND servers.

Until you cancel your subscription, you are only helping to continue the cycle of mediocrity.

It is a ridiculous price I agree.  Unless you're moving 8 characters because even then it's still $375 to switch 8 characters from account A to account B and from server A to server B.

I'd rather spend $375 on mountain dew to keep myself awake while just grinding out a character on the account/server I want to play on.

on my credit card statement i see SOE acount blablabla 15,99 or wtv and i also see SOE Mac acount blablabla 15,99 or wtv, i was not warned nor told anywhere that there where 2 different charges to play on mac servers (with the same acount ID) just of that i  pressed cancel on both PC and Mac versions

its no secret at this point that ... SOE makes all their money from people playing their games, who are ONLY interested in the community .. NOT the games ...

imho the reason is because SOE games, or games under SOE servers,  at this point,  ALL suck ... and the main reason people are still playing those games .. is because they enjoy the community ...

so SOE sticks it to em hard by charging hardcore prices for any " community" services ... like character transfer ect...

Well according to this page, clearly and easily found on the station page (https://store.station.sony.com/eq_char_item_moves/) , you transfered THREE characters from one accout to another and also transfered from one server to another while keeping all your items.

The price is clearly marked, it's easily found and ON TOP of that you would have known before having your card charged. SOE will not charge something to your CC unless you asked it to be charged.

So while yes I do agree with you it's a heck of alot of money but am I missing something here? You spent the money, you knew how much it would cost and now you're bitching about it and blaming SOE?

    Right....

Oh and here's the pricing sheet for anyone thinking of doing this.

For moving characters on the same account from one server to a different server:

    1 to 2 Characters $75 (total charge)
    3 to 8 Characters $150 (total charge)

For moving characters from one of your accounts to one of your other accounts but not changing to a different server:

    1 to 2 Characters

    $50

    3 to 8 Characters

    $125 (total charge)

For moving characters from one of your accounts to one of your other accounts and changing to a different server:

    1 Character $112.50
    2 Characters $187.50 (total charge)
    3 to 8 Characters $375 (total charge)

Here's the link to the fee page without items: https://store.station.sony.com/eq_char_moves/

I think it's a might bit stupid to be complaining about this now. I also suggest you do not reverse the charges.

The prices are CLEARLY indicated and if you block the charges your doing nothing but make yourself look

the fool. I can understand you coming here before paying and complaining of the price, but do you even pay

    attention to what your buying?

Hey buddy I got some farmland up here for sale, how about it?

the price is too high but you had to accept the charges.

When doing transactions involving your credit card I reccommend double checking before clicking.

SOE is annoying sometimes but this isn't their fault this time.

    Why You are suprised?

SOE doesn't care anyting else than MONEY.

What's the different between SOE and other companies?

SOE thinks first the money, others think that they are in gaming business. Mostly because the money, but also because that is what they wanna do. SOE is in business because the money and doesn't care what the business is.

That price is a little insane but it seems the pricing was listed. :/

Well, like some others said, the $375 is the correct price. I`m going to take this one as a learning experience. The $375 charge is still just ridicuous though. Maybe that isn`t much cash to some of you, but it`s still a large amount to me. Thanks to you who replied. I just wanted to fill you in on what they told me. They need to hire someone who speaks better English on the phone though.

Absolutely do this.  Tell them in no way did you authorize these charges.

"...and with that cryptic comment, I'm off to bed!"

You can't just refuse a charge because you made a mistake, it doesn't work that way in the least.
