There are three new MMORPGS I found...
1. Era of Faith - Lineage 2 look-a-like but better gameplay and different story
2. OZ World: cute-looking mmoc, not much to do
3. Cronus: Awesome new 3D MMORPG

Era of Faith looks and sounds neat and I really want to try it ....but....I have been trying to get it all day/night with no success The stie and the downloads are very slow and I keep getting disconnected after hours of 1.x Kb/s speeds
Anyone know alternate places to get the client/patch? Or do I just need to keep trying all 9 servers hehe
Beta'd: Neocron, Planetside, ShadowBane, Horizons, City of Heros, Saga of Ryzom, Lineage II
Played: EQ, Shadowbane, DAoC, SWG, Anarchy Online, Asherson's Call 2. Earth and Beyond
Playing: City of Heros, EQ
Beta'd: Neocron, Planetside, ShadowBane, Horizons, City of Heros, Saga of Ryzom, Lineage II, WoW Stress Test
Played: EQ, Shadowbane, DAoC, SWG, Anarchy Online, Asherson's Call 2. Earth and Beyond, City of Heros, EQ
Playing: WAITING FOR WOW and EQ 2
I think the problem is that Era of Faith and Cronous are chinese games and that it is just lag from the US to china I tried both games and both have horrible speeds. I get 350KB/s all the time from most sites so I know it isn't me. Don't think I have the patience to wait 20 hours for a 200MB download for either of these hehe
Thanks for the advice though

LoL, era of faith character models are EXACTLY like lineage 2 character models. The models are like identical!
I quit Lineag 2 about 3 weeks ago with a lvl 45 silver ranger because the game was only about grinding. I love how detailed it was though. Just wandering around made me happy as I got to look at all the wonderful landscapes. Once youve seen everything (not that much), the game becomes insanley boring.
My plan is to find something AS beautiful as lineage 2 but with a little fun envolved. Hopefully Era of Faith can cure my boredom for a few days.
Waiting on some new MMORPG in the meantime.

Well, the problem with Chinese games, (or any Asian game for that matter), is that they usally make the client downloadable, and since a big client download uses up so many resources, they have so many people downloading the client that it creates a huge strain on their servers and connection, thus giving you the really small speeds that you get. It's just a problem with asian MMORPG companies, they can't get the necessary upgrades to handle the massive amounts of people (unless they are an already established big money-making company).

"3. Cronus: Awesome new 3D MMORPG"
This is a weakly done Diablo/Diablo 2 clone of a mmorpg. If you can't get enough of Diablo this game could be for you. But not for me.
Even for a mmorpg, the leveling is tiresome. One of the fun things about Diablo was constantly finding newer, different weapons and armor. In Chronus, while similar to Diablo's, their loot system is very tedious. They have tried to copy Diablo's gameplay and style almost exactly. The tedium is the result of trying to extend this system to a game intended to be played for month's on end.
I'd rather play Diablo.
Go to the discount section of your gaming store and see if you can find a copy of Total Annihilation or Total Annihilation: The Core Contingency. It won't be multiplayer, but you'll have a lot more fun.

era of faith:
i played this for about 6 hours i started as a mage.. i had to fight with my fists and die over and over im level 7 now i got 22 gold and i still dont have any spells... i gave up on the game the exp is slow, no one can speak english/willing to help. and i still cannot obtain 1 of the 2 spells the mage ever gets..
1 out of 20 mobs dropped some coin ( 1-2GP) and some guy looted it on me. i got arrows as loot and they sell to vendors for 0gp. my 1st spell is supposed to be level 6 and it costs 100gp. the game is way to difficult and honestly boring.
cronus:
i downloaded but i cannot make an account no matter what username i choose it says sorry but this username is in use... even abcdefg4939 is in use, i tried about 10 random letter usernames. so not worth wasting your time to download.. and it took me 2 days.
3rd game looks pretty cheezy to me ill try it when im bored some night.

Hehe, Nugget...
You're just like my friends. They never read the manual before they play and wonder why they arn't doing well.
The section in the guide on the main website labeled "How to make money" might have helped a bit with your money probs
And you probably would have learned that you can get a "double xp" hour (two hours a day) just by talking to someone.
So just a reminder for everyone, always read the manal!
To everyone trying to download Era of Faith, I suggest downloading FlashGet in order to succesfully complete file trasfers. I tried downloading Era of Faith about 5 times without it and would always get disconnected from server near completion. The speeds are a tad faster with FlashGet as well.
As for my personal opinion of EoA..... I can only say that this game is way to early in development to do anything enjoyable.
My suggestion is that you should not download this game unless you are wanting to help find bugs for a korean game, and then report back in korean languages.
