Is this game all about grind?

Been reading this forum and other things about the games. seems very interesting.

But im just wondering if this game is mostly about grinding to the next level. Or is there other things like making weapons or fun mini games/pvp?

Also the quests.  Is it simple go kill X monsters? Or are they more in depth? Overall, is the game unique?

Also, where might i dl it or sign up for beta testing?

thanks!

There are a lot of posts concering whether this game is what alot of players that arent into hardcore grinding call "grind crap" and as I would love to close this whithering thread because its sad to see one go on forever with no reply's, this game is called "perfect world", you can grind if you want, (obviously) but you can choose do do anything as far as quest, which actually gives more XP than hunting. You can own land, take over cities, fly, and alot of other awsome stuff that seems completely beyond origional, In fact, (you can make out underwater or in the air with a freakin pandabear).. I didnt mean to make a rhyme it just kinda went that way. but im sure that this game wouldnt have gotten  the 7.0 Hype-level if this game was all about the grind. Especially seeing how half the people that hyped the game probably played either the chinese or jp beta. (Thread End)

Although I personally haven't played due to the fact I cannot read chinese.  But I have friends playing on the China and Taiwan servers and I have watched them play.  From what I seen I cannot wait to play the english version.

There are a lot of unique features within the game.  You have two human classes, two winged classes and two beast classes.  Each with their own special features and playing styles.

And no this game is not all about grind.  There are different quests.  Mostly giving by NPC but some are random drops from monsters.  And the quests are also very varried from killing x number of x monsters to talking to a certain NPC to crafting items for NPC to a mix of everything.

lol of course! quests are hard when you dont know what they are telling you to do *&$%Y*&!QYR&!Y$&* .... go where?! :D but seriously its impossible to make a game where there is not grind at all whatsoever, but in this game you obviously have choices of how to enjoy your grind such as air combat, in the water, and as a catgirl  the group questing and being able to save ur friend if he gets messed up by putting him on ur mount of flying him away is just epic.... ""but wouldnt it be nice if they had a game that elimated all grind and you just pressed a button and you where lvl 100?::"""""              "look guys im l33t im max lvl, i didnt even need to play the game!"  "sarcasm"

I totally agree.  If you want ot play a game with no "Grind" then go somewhere else.  Maybe look into online Command and Conquer, turn based or real time strategy and not RPG.

This is a game where you arte suppose to live the life of the character you have chosen.  Like the fox spirit (foxy lady or whatever) she is the hunter.  You can capture monsters to become pets.  These pets you can have them fight beside you or sent them out to fight whilst you blast your enermies from a far.  Or make money by selling them.  You can choose to be a fighter (Human or Beast) and fly on flaming great swords or Great birds of prey.  The winged angelic archer.  Your powers with projectiles shooting from a far.  Other characters will only see monsters getting plastered before ever knowing you were there.  There is so much to do that if you wish to explore every single possibility it would keep you super glued to your computer 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

This game is free to play.  But there is an item shop.  Basically they only make money if you wish to customize your character.  Like new clothing to be worn over your existing armour.  Flying mounts.  If you want an easier game then you could opt for a limited use weapon (only last for 14 days).  But like some of my friends you can play from start to finish without ever paying a dime.

When the english version comes out I most definately recommend playing this game.

well, you can do quests rather than grinding.. some quests just requires you to look for certain people.. or look for a left over box somewhere in the map.. in exchange for exp and soul points... we already have a "semi"-translation here in the philippines undergoing beta.. and i can say its pretty good.. personally i hate grinds.. and its a good thing there are other things to do for leveling up..
