Difrence

I'm thinking about buying this game but I don't really know it yet.

Is there anough difrence in the landscape?

Ar there anough skills?

Ar there Lot's of diffrent monsters?

Ar there anough items kind/ armor/ weapons.

Is there another kind of PvP Except monster play?

Is it updated anough?

Is it fun?

The landscape is nice and beautiful, it's got fields, mountains, caves etc.

    Ar there anough skills?
Decent goos amount of skills and 6 selectable classes

Ar there Lot's of diffrent monsters?
I've only played upto lvl 15 and I found repetition of monsters with different names nevertheless did see quite a variety aswell

Ar there anough items kind/ armor/ weapons.
Huge choice of weapons and armor

Is there another kind of PvP Except monster play?
Someone else'll have to answer that for you

    Is it updated anough?
    Ditto since I've stopped playing

    Is it fun?
I got bored and since it's a P2P I felt subscribing was potentially a waste of money since I wasn't too into the game, but we all have different tastes, get someone's buddy key and check it out.

We're all Geniuses. Most of us just don't know it.

There is a pretty decent amount of different looking places, the areas are all pretty large.
    Ar there anough skills?
Once again, a pretty decent amount.
Ar there Lot's of diffrent monsters?
Yea, there are alot of different kinds of monsters, and alot of titles to go along with killing them.
Ar there anough items kind/ armor/ weapons.
This was something I didn't like about it, there isn't really a LARGE selection of variety. Unless they changed it drastically.
Is there another kind of PvP Except monster play?
    I never found any.
    Is it updated anough?
I believe there is weekly maintenence? I didn't run into it much with Beta.
    Is it fun?
Not in my opinion. I cancelled my order for the Collector's Edition.

I couldn't help but notice you made the SAME typo over, and over. o.O; This game does look nice, but for some reason I did not like it. Alot of people label it was World of Warcraft with better graphics. I might have to agree.

off the top of my head - mountains, rolling farmlands, blighted areas, forests, scrubby areas, swamps

    Ar there anough skills?
yes and they are still tweaking more in

Ar there Lot's of diffrent monsters?
there are a lot of repeats such as boars, boars with a attitude, boars with bad hair days, boars with bad hair days going through crack withdrawal etc
seriously there are quite a few varied ones but also a lot of repeats of the same skin. They are adding new ones as they add new content.

Ar there anough items kind/ armor/ weapons.
yes, they also have dye and are adding social clothes in a future update

Is there another kind of PvP Except monster play?
dueling, but do not knock the MP till you have tried it. I's a lot of fun unless what want to do is gank newbies and loot their items then trash talk them. In that case itwill not give you what you are looking for.

    Is it updated anough?
It has not been out but a month, the graphiocs and such are very good. Also it will have quaterly updates, the first of which will be in a week or two.

    Is it fun?
Fun is a subjective term, it is for me but no shoe fits every foot. Get a buddy key or drop 50 USD on it and try for yourself. I found the game to be nothing like WoW, other than it uses WASD movement, mouselook, and it is soloable.

    I miss DAoC

i'll go with a blue font as everyones using red . yes the landscapes are varied,no zone looks like another. The shire is probably my favourite though. easily the best looking MMORPG ive yet played, even going above guild wars which is a stunning looking game in itself. of course this applies to high-very high-ultra high settings. But the good news is that by having it look like crap on lowest settings you can play it on a much lower end PC.
    Ar there anough skills?
you get a good wedge of skills from levels 1-30,but now im looking at my trainer window and seeing only a few for 30-50. class updates will bring more, but for all I know my class update could be november.
Ar there Lot's of diffrent monsters?
Not really.theres a good selection, but not nearly enough considering how many areas there are and how large each area is. I suppose theyre limited by the LOTR IP,and they cant just shove some 4 headed demons in there. It seems that all the cool monsters such as trolls, giants and dragons have been left till later levels, which is understandable to a degree, but they could have put variations of them in at lower levels.  theres only so many birds/tarkrips/boars you can stand. The barrow downs was good though, full of undead mobs.
Ar there anough items kind/ armor/ weapons.
seems ok,but the designs are limited on some armor types.
Is there another kind of PvP Except monster play?
    no
    Is it updated anough?
incoming expansion update in june, which are happening regularly.
    Is it fun?
yes and no; the gameplay is fine, combat is slow but tactical and the skills are often only usable by using another first,in an unlocking system. But some of the 'fill in' quests are just retarded. it seems like they built a whole long chain around a main storyline, added a few others of interest and then filled the rest with kill 10 bears and collect their meat crap. One set in particular really annoyed me,which happens in the north downs. there are 4 (!!!) quests that have you killing wargs in differing numbers, not even related to each other. Its stuff like this that makes me want to exit the game. Theres often times where you think 'didnt I do this 10 levels ago?'
the june expansion update seems to be answering a lot of questions, but if evendim is going to be all about killing 10 of this new shiny mob for their newer shinier meat,im gone.

yes lots of difference in the landscape

yes lots of skills ... you can pick and choose what to upgrade ... enough where you dont have to and probably wont want to upgrade to them all

the monsters are one area of this game i find lacking ... id like to see more of a variety of monsters ... and a little more detail in the humanoid monsters ...

there are a lot of weapons and armor ... but another problem i have with this game is the lack of capes .. everyone runs around with the same looking cape ... i would also like to somehow be able to plan what my guy looks like better .. maybe give a real picture of the item in the item description ....

monsters versus heros is the PVP .. and i think thats great ... you are also able to challenge a fellow hero to duels

    updates seem great

yes its really fun for me

All thanks for the comments, But I think I'll wait some time before buying the game.

It's new, en not a lot diffrent monsters. ( I hate kill 10 bears, kill 10 boars, I just hate bears and boars the most common monsters of any game, can't they think of something new for beginners? :S)

I also hate those kiind of quests.  So I just wait before buying this game, depends on the june update...

Is there an MMORPG out that doesn't have these quests?  All the ones I can think of and have played ALL have "Kill xxx of xxxx" type quests.  However, LOTR gets somewhat fewer of these as you go along as those are mainly just for you to level up so that you can finally start getting on with the game.

    EVE - Sharvala
    FFXI - Shazamalicious
Guild Wars - Xavier Lucifer & Charlize the Necro

Is there anough difrence in the landscape? There are great variations in landscapes.  Old Forest is unique, and so are the Barrow Downs.  Variation is high at low levels with different low level areas for humans, dwarves, elves and hobbits. The variation increases at higher levels.  Some areas like Garth Argawen are like nothing I've ever seen. The Elvish areas are beautiful, and Rivendell is incredible. The Shire is a wonderful translation from the books.
Ar there anough skills? Yes, not a great number, partly because you don't get Root I, then Root II, then Root III etc.  They grow in strength as you level so they steadily increase instead of in jumps.
Ar there Lot's of diffrent monsters? I think so, but you have to go to different areas to see the full variety.  Shrews in The Shire, and I haven't seen them anywhere else; fly swarms and slugs in marshes.  Cold Worms and Drakes (Immature Drakes? and small dragons) at level 30+, bog lurkers at mid-twenties etc. Many critters have Deeds for them, and if you kill a lot, you get first, a title, then with more, a stat buff.
Ar there anough items kind/ armor/ weapons. As usual, armor gets more interesting in the mid 20's or so.  Collectible armor sets are coming in with the June expansion.
Is there another kind of PvP Except monster play? Just sparring, a non-lethal dueling.
Is it updated anough?Turbine is famous for their update policies.  Take a look at the Shores of Evendim release notes.
Is it fun? Now THAT'S the right question.  Yes, for me, a LOT of fun.  Turbine got so many things right, that it's like a great dish from a great chef.  You've seen a lot of the ingredients elsewhere, but somehow they all blend together to make it a great game.
