Would dragonball be a good mmo to make?

in The Pub at MMORPG.COM
Now just saying i seen dragonball and with its vast characters and worlds i think i can be feasible to make a mmo out of it ..... I mean they did it with city of heros i think it be fun to play a dragonball mmo? if not give me a good idea of one you think be good!

    on top of dragonball what about (im going old school here) WING COMMANDER  i think that would be interesting also to make!

    I am a fan of DBZ, but I wonder if it would just be a game like COH with blaster combat.

    It would have to break the mold to make me serious consider buying it.

    Now...

    A wing commander MMO? OOOOH YEAH! That is a CLASS idea. Just make it like Privateer (with walking avatars) and a joystick controlled EVE and it would be PERFECT!

    Ewww, I like Dragonball as an anime, but not as a game.



    I really hate it when companies base their games off of animes. *Cough* Naruto. Blech.

    The Pokemon idea I could see, but Dragon Ball Z? Lets keep that on console for the kiddies. Not to mention the anime itself is god awful.

Here we actually discuss [usually with relevent information] general [usually MMORPG related] topics.     Maybe if someone made a world full of modern day people, and to gain levels they'll need to do their job properly. Once they reach a certain level, they can go to what's-his-face... Goku! and get a job advancement to a beginning person with a skill to fly and stuff. Eventually, at like level 99, they can be that super form where Goku's son and Vegeta's son had transformed into when fighting Buu.

    Everyone at MMORPG likes for people to stay ON the topic they post in, hence the note on the Forums front page saying STAY ON TOPIC. As for your statement to Consensus.

    Jesus christ, is it your time of the month or something? What's your ****ing problem?



    And to stay on topic, I'm quite keen on DBO and am hyped about it just as much as Stargate Worlds.. though both are looking to be pretty average at the moment, I am a fan of both the series' enough to still keep an eye on the games.

    I would try the game, I know my brother would like it. We both know our share of Jap but I am not into Anime or its games including MMO's Its looks nice grapics wise but that not excuse if the game machnics is really bad. If you want to play a game like that COH or COV is your best bet. But I will be fair too the game and try as soon as I can.

    I just don't like japenesy games. look at swords of the new world, looks so lame. I dont hate anime so much just anime games. They suck gameplay wise and are all the same.

    EDIT: actually i do sortof hate anime, dumb haircuts, genders look the same and wtf with asians always drawing western/white people?

    funny how you ash are complaining about everyone else when you didnt say one thing that was on topic. if you think you are to good to discuss things with other people in a kind manner than keep your mouth shut. and since you have such disdain for this website and think you could write better reviews and be a better moderator, than go make your own website im sure you have that talent too.



    on the topic otherwise i might try it because i watched most of the series and am intrigued enough to see how they would accomplish the level system and see how hard it would be to become super saiyan 1 2 3?  it would probably end up being too easy for me to stay interested but i would give it a shot.

    Yeah I've known about Dragonball being made for a while, and not only do I think it's a good idea, but I think it's a great idea. Just think of how good the customizing will be. Not to mention how much they will be able to accomplish storywise. The graphics look very appealing as well, unlike in most of the console-based Dragonball games.

    I've played many games, and the ones that I play change weekly. Currently I am very interested in Gunbound, Poker, and Kwon Ho once more. I am thinking of returning to Maple Story and Ghost Online.

    Dragon Ball Z is the best anime ever made end of story.





    Those that do not like it must not like true action and the best dang fight scenes ever.

    Be cool to people, and try and stay cool that way you never have to regret making someone feel bad. Don't take what ya got granted because some people never get to feel happy. We get to play these great MMOs and surf a good site. Be thankful for what ya got and next time ya feel down imagine a fat sea otter waddling with a pillow and a night cap. Bam! smiles!

    Who do you think you are in all honesty?  The "forum police"? The "fun patrol"?  Trying to earn yourself brownie points with the staff?



    Frankly no one besides you cares about what was being said.   But i can tell you something, everyone who read your posts agreed on one thing, you need to chill.  Not only were you being very rude in your responses, but even after he apologizes you continue to chastise him.



    He stated his thoughts on the game in the first post.  You then commented about the anime being terrible.  And he commented about how he used to watch the anime(which you said was terrible to begin with), in a thread about a video game...completely based off of the anime!  The sheer offtopicness of it all compels me to make this person shut up.



    Especially love your comment "For all our sakes".  Again who do you think you are?  Who are you say what he can and can not say on it?

    I have to agree with some of the other posters here, dbz made a decent anime(Well up till cell at least) but i have yet to play a dbz game that would be worth playing, so i don't have high hopes for this game.  But who knows maybe it'll be fun?
