Bad marketing didnt kill this game. This game killed itself. It had some stuff going for it. But things like outdated graphics(if you want to see a good sprite mmo, look at ragnarok), clunky movement system(probably just me but movement was extremely difficult), and non-responsive User Interface.
I will not sign your petition because I don't believe in Carpe Diem, good luck.

Ok Game misunderstood than. I guess it was just me reacting to all the negative feedback coming at once from various others not just yourself. I apologize. No you do not have to sign the petition, we can't make you. No hard feelings mate. I just have high hopes for this and it is hard to keep that outlook when you only get so many signatures from day to day.
Do not take me as trying to spam up the forums because I have posted here quite a lot, I am only trying to get this petition out to everyone we can just in case someone actually did look over it and is interested. I just won't give up when someone tells me our efforts are worthless because myself and others thought up this idea so I feel it is my responsibility to try my best in getting it out there.
Signed... Though I do place a not so mandatory pre-condition that you guys should send along a ONE HELL OF A LONG ASS LIST of 'stuffs to fix' along with the petition.
Aside from that, kudos for this effort and good luck!
We have some very exciting news regarding our efforts to bring back the MMORPG, Carpe Diem.
The petition has been doing great, and people have shown the game wonderful support. We have reached over 270 signatures so far, which is incredible for a game that barely left the gate from Beta!
Spurred into action by our progress, two different companies have expressed interest in taking on the responsibility of the game. One is based in Germany, whereas the other is American. For legal reasons they cannot be named at this time.
Both companies have been extensively discussing their possiblities with Persistent Worlds Ltd CEOs and the Korean developers for several weeks now, and interest seems to be remaining high!
Whilst this is exciting news, I must stress that nothing has been set in stone, nor have any decisions been made by the companies involved. So don't get too excited.
But this proves that petitions do work when many people band together to show their support and loyalty for something they love. So now is the time to pull in every last signature we can get. Get all your friends to sign, remind old forums about the cause (make sure to tell them about these new developments!) and we can really be the deciding factor in whether this happens or not.
You still have a chance to sign the petition which can be done here:
It is interesting that you are playing 9Dragons. Did you know the same company Persistent Worlds that was publishing Carpe Diem, had 9Dragons as well. Before Acclaim did. The version they had was much better than the Acclaim one. Half players were playing CD others were playing 9D. People curently playing 9D have stated on the Petition topic there that PW's verison was much better.
Then the people "currently playing 9D" that have stated that the PW version is better are idiots. It is the same game with ONE addition, ads, which generally occur during non-action situations like resting and zoning.
As for Carpe Diem, other than maybe one unique feature, that of humans and fairies combining, name something else that sets this game apart, so much so that I should support anti-darwinian behaviour.
So far I see a bunch of kids that liked a game, for whatever reasons, and are trying to convince gamers with generally more eclectic tastes to support the resurrection of said game.
I really can`t fault you too much as with no real quality to choose from the choice of what to support is fairly limited. I just hope the same is done and more for games in the future that actually are different and trend breaking.
ok the people of carpe diem where not kids some were thoe alot of them even had kids of the own so don't think of carpe diem as a kids game when people of all ages played it

Aye, I'd say there were maybe 3:1 players ages18+ to 17 and below. 2 out of those 3 adult players were 25+, and the remaining one 18-24.
Good luck getting your game back
All the best.
Why the game is dead! It will not come back unless you pay them...
Why do games die?
Because they lose more money then they make...
So asking for it back is asking for their money..
