Seriously guys...this may be early to conclude but after reading and watching numerous clips on Age of Conan...I think it will destroy WOW and LOTRO.

Im also very excited about AoC, looks a bit stiff sometimes
But Funcom seriously needs to start showing some real footage soon. Release is getting closer and closer, and most of what we have seen so far is 1 player fighting against npc's. It could all be footage from the singleplayer part of the game. I want to see some real mmo footage, meaning hundreds of players on the screen and some real online gameplay.

well, Lotro totally killed WoW and..

but I'm sure Age of Conan will destory WoW. Its completely normal for a game that comes from the creators of a game that never even reached 500k subscribers to totally destroy a game that has over 50% of the mmorpg subscriber market while at the same time directly competing with Lotro, WAR, Aion and all other MMO's comming out in 2007 ~ 2008
First of all, you obviously have no idea about what Conan is if you think 'Arnie' should be in it.
Secondly, everyone knows that the only game that will kill WoW is Darkfall!

Not saying AoC looks bad but that has to be the blandest trailer I've seen released for this game so far.
To be honest the further into development they go the duller they seem to get (in reference to AoC, WAR, ans GnH). They had some great ideas from at the start but they continue to cut corners and take the easy route to success and now I can't see myself playing any 07/08 games for the long run. I think I might try GnH, but I'm not expecting too much from it.
Darkfall on the other hand is so completely different that any WoW fanboy would cry his pants off the second he loads the game. "omg gaiz wat lvl am i??!!?!???? sum1 halp!!!!" And then he'll be ganked to hell and back. Meaning Darkfall will have a completely different player base than WoW's and will just as likely only steal 1%.
Anyways, AoC looks awesome, but don't get your hopes up too much. MMO's these days seem to fall into the same traps.

In the case of WoW
This little fella alone brings in more people than AoC.
People don't want ugly, get that soon enough and we might be able to move on.

Back on topic: There's no way in hell Conan is going to be destroying WoW. It doesn't have the well known IP (As the OP helped to show, most modern gamers have never heard of Conan's true source of lore), nor the advertising funding, nor the ease of play, nor the big company name. Its going to be a damn fine game, and probably will have a quite respectable following, but it does not appeal to the same audience WOW does. Now, over time, between AoC, LOTRO, and Warhammer, WoW might end up falling from its current throne due to sheer attrition.

I agree with most of this except what i changed the color of.It might be damn fine game, let's wait and see to how it actually turns out to be. Games offer alot of promise, and it's very easy to cut together various clips to make a battle seem "cooler"(when in regards it wasn't as cool, but it would still be gameplay footage and can be called as such). I'm tired of people hyping these future coming games untill we start actually being able to play. theres been so many mmorpgs released who were less then satisfactory, it's actually impossible to tell about a game till it's release.
Sure features are nice, as are graphics. But so is content, bugs, stability, and overall fun of the game that has to be experienced. Devs can list a bunch of features and sell their games because want to believe they are going to be fun. which as you can see on these forums, alot of people are putting their hopes on these upcoming games, but i fear that they shall be disappointed, because if these games don't turn out fine they have already put themselves on a plane of existence above the current games, and could never bring themselves to enjoy these because their future ones are so promising.
Now don't get me wrong, i want AoC WAR and the various others to be wonderful... but as a mmorpg fan and someone who actually looks at things objectively(most of the time =P) i'm just saying you can't put your faith into them.

Age of Conan being M rated is it's biggest downfall. As much as the MMO elitists hate them, males age 13 to 16 make up a large portion of the market.
