You can try Kart Rider. You can do team races there. There's also Gunbound. If you want to play MMORPGs then most of them have teamwork involved within the game. WoW, Maple Story, Ghost Online especially, Trickster. You should look through the Free games lists on various sites, especially ones with descriptions, and see if there is anything there that might look interesting to you.

I've played many games, and the ones that I play change weekly. Currently I am very interested in Gunbound, Poker, and Kwon Ho once more. I am thinking of returning to Maple Story and Ghost Online.

question asked an answer. FFXI is very teamwork oriented. Jobs have clear roles for the most part, with a certain degree of flexibility if the situation allows. Its not  a FFA part like you usually get in WoW, but you have a job to do, and others have theirs, and you need the others to do their job so you can do yours, and vise versa. Good Fun. It is NOT a soft game, however, so be prepars to lose Xp when you die, which makes good teamwork even more important.

Too bad you don't like it. Wait, you have tried it, yes? Its not like a kid saying he hates Broccoli even though he's never had it before?

    First off....stupid post.

Secondly I'm sure there are tens of mmos out there that require teamwork...Eve-Online being one of them.

Most pay-to-play MMOs require teamwork in some sort, weather it be in PvE or PvP.

Lineage 2 - a very clan oriented game. You have the chance to work as a whole clan or even alliance. From castle sieges to boss raids there is a pretty large amount of team work required to do well, and when you die, you lose XP so there is a price to pay for not working as a team.

DAoC - This game has the best PvP I have ever played. There are 3 factions to chose from, its easy to hit the level cap and there are many ways to spec your character. With the classic servers there isn't a whole lot of need for good gear, its mostly about your player skill and your ability to work as a team. A good small group of players can wipe out a group that is much much larger than theirs if they work well as a team.

WoW - Yes, even in WoW you have to work as a team, in PvP and in raids aswell.

There are many many more choices than what I have listed here if you are looking for a game that requires teamwork. If you don't think that most of these games do require it, maybe your one of those people who ends up running off on their own and not working with the team.

You are wrong. Most MMO's require some sort of teamwork.

Look at Battleground Europe: World War II Online it is completely centered around teamwork.

Which doesn't change the fact that FFXI is an MMO that requires teamwork. Now, if you want to change your question to "Is there an MMO that requires teamwork that I'll like", then we can exclude FFXI, if you're determined to dislike FFXI without having played it.

City of heroes did back in the day.  Thing are more soloable now, but you still see a lot of teaming.

There is a large section (at the moment) in LOTRO that requires teaming, and everyone complained about it so they are adding more solo-able content now.

    You just can't win.

Hey Chris, I haven't seen you in awhile. :)

Anyway, what you said was dead on. Just because you're not a fan of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

Well, isnt this thread a 'sign of the times'? Truly an indicator of how much MMO's have changed in the past 5-6 years.

MMO's were all about teamwork, grouping together with strangers to overcome a common goal. You used to see threads on forums asking advice about which games you could solo in. Now we get posters asking quite the opposite.

The whole point of an MMO, in my opinion, is to play with other people. The concept of playing 'alone online' sems toatlly ridiculous to me. Are the current generation of players so socially inept and self-centred that they find it too difficult to communicate and co-operate?

May as well just play a single player RPG and save the monthly fee.

    /minor rant off

Out of all the MMOs currently on the market I would say that Dungeons and Dragons online requires the most teamwork out of any MMORPG.

Most people on MMO's today think being by their self is cooler or some bullshit like that. They don't have the brains to realize that its 10 times faster with a group, and more fun.

I never said i didn't like it, don't twist my words.

    I'm sick of that bullshit.

you seem to have serious social issues, can't see you playing in a teamwork-oriented game....... better stick to solo play.....
