Hey all.
I was just wondering if i should buy LOTRO , but it all kinda depends on if there is any sort of PVP system in the game, so far what i can recall from beta is that LOTRO is a game for PvE people based on the storyline mostly, but i got told of some specific area's that are set to where you can PvP, or was i told wrong ?
Generally if a game doesnt have PvP it aint a game for me, since alot of people now a days is running around in games and are being annoying as hell, so if you can't grief them at some point well i wont be playing it.

However, the PvP in game is different than most games as you can enter a PvMP and attack others as a monster.
Good luck.
Hi Kwai,
There is no PvP as you know it, you can't PK anyone. The game handles that sort of play as PvMP i.e. player v's monster play. At level 10 you can create a monster in the form of a warg, spider or a couple of different orcs. The monster starts out at the current maximum level of 50. The PvMP happens in only one zone which is set up with keeps etc. Players can enter this zone at any level but really need to be in their 40's at least as all the other mobs and npc's are in their high 40s plus.
It has been stated that LotRO has not been balanced for classes competing against each other, it was never intended. It is a PvE game first and formost but with a fun PvP element. Much different that any other game I've tried.
You earn destiny points for kills and quests within the zone that you can upgrade your monster with or provide a temporary buff for players.
But no, you and your dwarf buddies cannot go bashing elves. In Middle Earth, the good Free People do not fight against each other, they unite against the common evil. Hope this helps.
Guess that LOTRO is not a game for me and my buddies , guess we will have to wait for another game then, but thanks alot for the input and the details
