bobpowerbobpower Member UncommonPosts: 35

When i start the launcher and hit play i keep getting a message saying failed to connect to server.

Anyone else getting this or is it just my comp doing it?

The server is down for maintenance, try again a little later.

Correct me if I'm wrong or not, isn't Fury in pre-Beta. AKA you're not supposed to be discussing aspects of the game or even if you are a beta tester if you are a beta tester?

I have never seen an NDA for this game.

I have not signed up on the Fury website.

As for the servers, they were back up 5 minutes after my 1st post (check the time) and still were a few minutes ago.

The client software needs to be updated.

Trying FTP server (FTP IP REMOVED)...Verifying hardware compatibility...

    connected!

Preparing patch process. This may take a minuteHardware is ok.

An error occurred trying to retrieve the patch listing file.

    Trying FTP server (ftp://localhost)...no reply!

Could not connect to a update server.

no i got the same damn problem, i can download the patch and gui install exe if i enter the ftp ip in my web browser but the command lines for the patch.exe have a crap help listing so i cant figure out how to get it to install offline.

I ran into this problem myself but after a little tinkering found how to patch offline, this requires a little thinking on your part and also depends on the current version of your game. The version I had was 12939 so if your games version is different just change the version number to your version and it should work smoothly.

First you have to download the actual patch which would be something like FuryPatch12939_to_13338.zip if your current version was 12939, you also regardless of the current version of your game have to download "FuryPatchGUI138883".

You get both of these files from the ftp listed when trying to patch with the launcher.

Now that you have these files extract FuryPatch12939_to_13338.zip (If your version is 12939) and put that folder which should have the same name in the main fury folder along with the FuryPatchGUI138883 file.

now make a shortcut to FuryPatchGUI138883 and right click on it and go to properties now in the box next to "Target" place this:

    "C:Program FilesFuryFuryPatchGUI13338.exe" 12393 /f 13338 /p FuryPatch12939_to_13338 "C:Program FilesFury"

Now this is just a model of what you have to put, it all depends on where you installed Fury as well as your current version.

"C:Program FilesFuryFuryPatchGUI13338.exe" <-- This part should already be in the target field so you just have to change the version and file names of the rest of it as well as the last part which should be where you installed fury to.

Hopefully this guide helps, If you have any questions please ask.

There seems to be something wrong with your install.

Try to uninstall the game and reinstall it, then let it patch itself. I have patched a fresh install, it worked fine.

We're aware that players who obtained the pre-beta through FilePlanet were not presented with the NDA. We're working to resolve that currently. In the meantime, you should either have already, or will in the next few days, have received details for accessing our beta forums.

We'd love to see your feedback posted there, and of course if you have any issues or encounter any bugs we will be able to assist you there.

Fury seems like a great game, I'm going to play it when its released properly, i find these beta weekends a little tedious. So i'll wait =)

Although i do wonder why no monthly fee has been charged, or even a purchasing fee.
