I used to play this game but in some point its start to get out of control....¬¬, dont play this game..
One of the few threads where I really don't understand what was being communicated....other than of course...don't play this game.... got that part down just fine....

Ok, to be more specific as to what the problems are in this game for those of you who might actually be interested.
First the game is essentially free but if you plan on having a high lvl character you will either have to hunt for weeks, perhaps months to get the required items (dragon balls) to upgrade your gear to match your character lvl, or spend real cash, and not just a litle of it either.
I have a lvl95 Water Taoist and I've already spent 48 bucks trying to get her gear high enough to make it worth it.
Until recently it was not entirely necessary to buy the Dragon Balls (dbs) but TQ added the infamous patch 4336 which added a lottery feature to the game and several new items. To get into the lottery you must have a db. You trade each db for 215 cps (no one knows what cp stands for) and it takes 27 cps to enter the lottery. In the lottery you can win some rediculously high lvl gear and items. You can also win some complete crap.
This also caused huge inflation in the player market. A db worth about $3 to $4 depending on how many you buy used to sell in the market for about 3-4million in game money on my server. Now a db is selling for anywhere from 25-30million. Meteors, one of the easier to aquire items for lvling gears, used to sell for 150k-200k are now selling for 250k-350k.
The problem that most players have with the patch is that it made it so that very low lvl players can get very powerful gear with out any work and that TQ took a game that was free for nearly everyone and made it so that you pretty much have to buy dbs or play 24/7.
However, there is a limit to the lvl of gear you can achieve so once you reach that lvl you could quit spending money. However, you're going to have to, once again, spend a lot of time or money and usually both.
The great thing I love about the game is that I do have some really wonderful friends that I play with. if it weren't for them I probably wouldn't play at all. My recommendation if you do want to play this game.
Find someone to help you lvl up to about lvl40-50 which means make some friends, be nice, don't be rude or beg.
Join a guild that doesn't pk a lot, you don't want too many enemies while you're lvling your character up because you lose experience for each kill. Plus if the guild isn't out pking all the time they will have more time to hunt and help you lvl and you will have more time to lvl yourself and hunt rather than defend yourself and cry for help all the time.
Lastly, once you reach lvl100 or higher you can join just about any guild you want or go guildless and still be a successful player depending on your class. So it takes a very long time to reach a point where you are really capable of being a successful independant player. And even then you can always get your ass kicked.
The game is limited in other ways as well. There is only so much to do really. You can kill mobs and lvl. You can kill other players. or you can do quests which involve mostly searcing for a specific monster to kill and then taking the item it drops to someone else. Leveling and pking are all fun but it would be nice to have some more quests that have some excitement in them. There are also several out dated quests that cost about 300 times to complete as the reward is worth.... seems a little pointless to me.

DAMN PATCH!
The very recent autopatch is 4346 (i think) and that has completly mucked up the game. The game is not bad, but the patches are just so damn worthless. Most of em are just like font changes and rubbish like that! But after server maintaince (Today)* you can't log in, down to patch 4346 which basically means TQ digital (the company who runs conquer) give you a load of rubbish information about how to log in again and it just doesn't work! And even if you try to download it again, one of the downloads doesn't work, one takes 4 hours (for me and i'm on a laptop and the download is called cnet) and the other one just sucks beyond existence. If patch was never introduced to this game, the game would be an alright game.
Also the Graphics are pretty bad compared to other mmo's e.g. Last Chaos, WoW.

Like most people said here, the graphics, are not very impressive at all, although it's a free game, but if you do some research around the MMO world now, you will find Conquer Online is hardly a competition to other games, that are also now free to play with(/out) item malls. Such as FlyFF, Tales of Pirates, different private servers of big games (eg. RO, WoW, Lineage II etc.).
A few years ago when Conquer Online first game out, it was a new thing, a free game! So everyone came and started playing it, despite the graphics, people often say to themselves "it's good enough for a free game", but that's not the case now.
The company that runs this game has recently added new features and updates to the game to make it almost impossible to survive without paying. Hence making it perhaps one of the "most expensive free MMO game".
Don't get me wrong, it's always good to give it a try, as long as you don't pay anything until you think you're ready to do so or you're just really rich. Even then I would warn you to give yourself a maximum limit as to how much you should be using on a game that you will eventually quit each month/week, incase you start spending out of your control. And that was the case with me. You can say after a year of playing this game before I quit, I started spending my money on this game like crazy (and that was before the Lottery patch came out), I would spend up to and sometimes over $200 per month on this game.
I regret it now, especially after the Lottery patch, which is essentially what made me quit this game. I have spent so much money on it, I had finally made extremely powerful gears (full super with full sockets of super gems with everything of atleast a +3 composition)... Yet, that patch, made all my gears seem worthless... And I wasn't the only one. I know a few people that has spent $500-$1000 per month!
So my say is, play unless you're a shopoholic like me, who can't control herself. Or else, this game could be an addictive heroin for you.
I wont said ''Dont Play it" but this game does suck a little, when I played this game I always got pk by a dam archer, is just not fair that they can fly

But its just stupid to spend that much money for a game, if you read the terms of agree and things like that, you will find out that the account you have made isnt even your property
Dude its wicked that you put that much money in it.
Besides you play the game for only a period of time, and after that when you are done with the game you regret it when you spend that much money on a game.

They have made the game fun.
