[Korean] 15 year old boy, kills his grandma, due to video games poisoning.

It was reported a korean 15 year old school boy murdered his grandmother(69 years old) by beating her to death. his motives were coz his grandma was worried and didnt want him to go to the netcafe everyday and not go to school. Teens in korea these days are massively addictive to video games, and are either going to net cafe everyday and stay over night or lock them selfs up at home and play on the computer everyday. the korean police investigated these symptoms is like the same as the japanese's [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hikikomori]Hikikomori[/url], where one confined them selfs inside homes(in this case internet cafes) and would reject all meanings of outside lifes. The boy beated her grandma to death at around 6am May 23rd, he beated her head repeatably intill the blood vessel poped. and after that hid her body in the bathroom, abandoned it for 2 days unsure what to do with the corpse. then he came back at around May 25th 12pm and tryed and cut the corpse up in pieces and cover it with clothings, bed sheets and such, and also it was reported he was attempting to burn the corpse pieces. These murder symptoms are kinda like the japanese's [url=http://www.wsmv.com/news/13320726/detail.html]Slices & Dices[/url] murder cases, and it was also reported that he asked on the Internet on how to do these "Dismemberment Slayings" and "Corpse Pieces Dumping" methods(read the article at wsmv.com). the body was discovered yesterday 27th by other family members(or i think actruly the 28th mayb...). the suspect lived in [url=http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Busan,_South_Korea]Busan(Pusan) City[/url] of the *Busan Region, the 2nd biggest city in korea.

I guess when people do not get their daily fix they go crazy.
Although, there has already been several major discussion about foreign [sorry, but asian] people being incredibly addicited to video games to a pretty over-whelming degree.
I remember reading about that and the link between gold farming agencies, and how 90% of them were in China/Singapore/etc.

As for the kid, I wish people would stop blaming games when its apparently obvious this kid either mentally unstable. Since he was living with his grandma I am guessing mom and dad are not in the picture so who knows what kind of head case he was because of that fact.

So, seriously, how many "reported" claims about this type of reaction to not playing video games or mimicking games have we seen? Definitely under 50 cases, and that's being impossibly generous!
When we start seeing 1000 cases like this a year, then we can start "doing something about it" - Just like we are doing something about teen drug use, drunk driving, and all this other bad behavior in our country and others.
Here's the fact, kids. You're going to have some bad apples in society. It's human psychology -- not everyone thinks the same, not everyone IS the same. Some people will snap, regardless of what it is. It may be that someone took away their game and they cut up their grandmother. It may be that someone drank all the milk and killed their family. Shit, it may even be some middle school girl flipped someone off, so they rape her. People go fucking nuts, okay? Video games have minor, if any, impact on our psychology when it comes to completely losing it.
I've snapped before. Told my dad I was going to kill him because he was taking away my computer. Why? I had nothing else in my life... at all. No real life friends, no one to talk to, no one who acknowledged my existence. Was that because the computer had such a strong impact on me? Nay, it was because I had nothing else in my life, I could not make friends with anyone and I was constantly picked on to the point where my mind could not take it any longer, and my mind reacted justly. Things have changed for the better, of course, because I was able to get ahold of myself-- But not everyone can do this, like this kid. He probably had no real life friends either, or just fake ones... No one to go to. Otherwise, what would make him react this way over such a small loss, if he had other things going for him?
Its all part of the plan you know...be prepared...2012 is the day all gamers go crazy and go on murderous rampages.

Why do the cases seem to be isolated to eastern asia. The culture seems to be a bit to blame. I personally haven't been to Japan, but I know people who have, and they say that everything feels a bit congested. Everyone is pretty carefule about everything that happenes, and are too self-aware.

Asian games will cause this behavior. If I played one of those crappy asian games I would want to kill someone also.
Moral of the story, if we encourage Korean internet cafes we can scratch Korea off our list of competitors for world domination.
