EQ contest ends tomorrow

And i can't help but giggle like a little girl at the thought of getting in lol. I was thinking of how much money someone would have to pay me to give up my beta slot if I won(no im not talking about selling it if I won, It's just a "what if" question lol).

 

I was thinking if the beta lasts like 5 months, thats normally $13 a month give or take so thats $65 right there, then the game itself is $50. Then you get the "inside info" on whats what before the game comes out, which to me has to be worth another $50. Then you got the most expensive part, the enjoyment of playing the beta. So all in all, considering what I make at my job and what I would only be willing to take, you would have to pay me roughly...$400 to give up my beta slot lol. Although I wouldn't even if someone offered me since I dont beleive in selling/trading accounts and game items. Makes it no fun IMO

 

So, if someone asked you to give up your beta slot, what would the price be? Everyone has there price, even if its a million dollars. But be serious.

    With the way my personality is...in all honesty, there's no way in hell I'd sell my spot if I got in.  The enjoyment factor versus missing out on the early phases of what promises to be a great game is too much.  On the other hand, I'd probably kick myself if the game sucked.

    If I somehow missed the first few days, and a friend told me the game was terrible before I'd activated the account, I'd probably sell it for about $100,000.  That just enough to get me through college, and know that even if a friend said the game sucked I'm still missing the opportunity of a lifetime.

    Well in all honesty yes we all have our price.If i am given 1 million dollars for a beta slot u bet i would sell.Heck even bill gates would sell!

    But realistically the amount that would be offered for a beta slot would not go beyond $1000 which i even doubt it would go that high even.And thats not enough for me to sell unless i get sacked tomorrow hehe and need money badly.

    I think highest i seen anyone brag for a beta account was on VN board where the chap claimed to have gotten $500 for a SWG beta account and that was unconfirmed.

    I couldn't care at the moment because it is only americans and canadians at the moment so nothing here for me (from belgium).

    If someone would pay me for a slot i would accept of course as long as it is above the price of the game + a year long subscription. I am not expensive image.

    Oh my god. This site is so pro-america it ain't funny...

    They should be giving one slot per country in the civilized world... No wait, that ain't fair either... Three slots should go to Ethiopia (only three, because that is how many PC's are in the country).

    What a ripoff. I hate MMORPG.COM.

    There now maybe we don't have to read about it on Wednesday morning...

    I am not being negative i just say that this contest is not for me because i live in europe, i have to wait for european beat invites to go out, if i am not to late already.

    Like i said before, if it is at 3AM then jsut wake up start your computer and check your amil it only takes 5-10 minutes and then you can go to sleep if you really want to know if you have won. If not don't complain, evrythign asks some sacrifice, there isn't a good time for everyone because the world is just to big.

    MMORPG.com is a US based website, specifically on Eastern Standard Time.  Since Craig and the staff are responsible for the drawings, they chhose to do it whenever they wish.  This is a dictatorship, if you don't like it you can leave.  This website doesn't claim to be for everybody, so don't try to make it look bad because you can't get what you want.

    I'm truly sick of this going through this after every contest.  I try to ignore these posts, but I know what's going to be said just by looking at the title.  Anyone who thinks that the MMORPG.com policy is unfair should just leave and quit complaining.  Life isn't fair, get over it.  You know the way things work before entering the contest.  If you're going to complain, why even bother entering?

    Seriosuly, it's like complaining that the winners won because they were drawn.  That's just how it goes.

    This game looks amazing!  And getting in to the Beta for it would be fantastic!  MMORPG.com is a great website, and I am amazed how quickly they update the site with all the latest info for EVERY MMORPG out there!  I troll the boards often, and this seems like a great group of people.  So  I wish everyone luck on June 15th!

    Anyway, all I got to say is when I get in chat, if I win, you will see me doing some weird stuff in the chatroom, let's just leave it at that :P. And of course the obligatory jumping up and down like a school-boy and falling on my head in excitement. But I'm not going to win, so you can kiss all that stuff goodbye ::::28::

    Thats my price.... Now don't get me wrong I LOVE MMORPG's... I love games probably more than ANYONE HERE... but.. I'm a college student... and well I have 2 months of Summer session left... and strangley enough.. I have 2 dollars to my name.. So.. yeah DEFINATLY SELL IT.. i'd probably go cheaper too.. But i'd never offer my account.. I'd let someone approach me though...image

    LOL, while I believe we are all hoping to win a spot, it's all going to be random.  Wished I could predict a spot but my luck isn't that great.  I do wish everyone all the best, and luck be with us all.  Guess we'll see tonight who the lucky 10 will be.

    I didn't win the Face of Mankind beta, and I haven't won anything for a long time... So here's hoping. (hell, what am I saying? What do I care about the Face of Mankind Beta compared to the EQ2 beta?). Good luck everyone! Just hope I have a better chance then my PC Gamer code.

    Should have joined earlier, you could have gotten extra entries for the number of days you had been logged on leading up to the contest.
