After reading and watching video clips of this game, I can confidently say that it will blow games like WoW, LoTRO, and Guild Wars away! Seriously, have you guys seen the video clips? If you have, then you'll know what I'm talking about. And yes, I know all about SOE and their MMORPGs but this time it will be different. Besides, Perpetual Entertainment is making this game.

GaH has a niche game play mechanic that won't be for everyone. And any open minded blogger/game critic should recognize that off the bat.
GL with GaH and your blog.
Its like this: people are getting darn sick of simple auto attack – hot key combat.
So games will go in one of two directions - strategy or shooter. GaH and PotBS look to be going in more of a strategy direction, while other games are going more the free aim / shooter direction.
Personally I’m more excited about the strategy direction. So this game defiantly has my interest.

This is one of the reasons why I like G&H!

If they get the physics right, graphically it could take games into another direction but if you read up on it at all it still follows the same gameplay style of every other game. The minion feature is just another way for players to isolate themselves from others. Granted I do plan on giving it a shot since some features intrigue me, but I am not expecting much from it.
Perpetual Entertainment will become the next outcast of devs. This is my prediction from just the way they treat their community regarding the Star Trek mmo they are currently ruining.
I see nothing groundbreaking and/or unique that sets PE above any other third rate game company. Although it will take the games release to know for sure, I would not be so quick to laud it as the one to destroy LotRO or Guild Wars. You are only setting yourself up for a great disappointment, IMHO.
Gods and Heroes will redefine the MMORPG genre!
How? You say this based on a video clip, but you don't really know for sure. It's best to wait until it's released and see if it actually does redefine the MMORPG genre.
I don't have any interest in this Game. but ain't the name Gods anf Heroes Rome Rising? so it should be Romanian (do you spell it like that? lol) mythology . Sure they have some Greek roots but nahh (like the gods have huge similarities).

Roman and Romanian are two totally different cultures/nationalities.
Rome had an empire (and now only has the Pope as it's claim to fame).
Romania (which used to be named Transylvania) has vampire/ghost stories.
Sadly in general games only redefine the market by lowering everyones expectations. Maybe every now and then theres something thats mostly okay but thats about as much as you can expect it seems.
Sadly, though I wish it were otherwise, you are wrong. Despite their sales pitch and marketing strategy, this game is nothing like an action-based MMO. It's exactly the same 1-2-3 push-button-wait-for-cooldown-rinse-repeat as all of the current generation, but with cool flashy animations of power moves to distract you from the fact that it's the same old thing all over again. There is no dynamic targeting (as in Age of Conan for example) and as far as I can tell things like use of cover aren't factored in either (as in Tabula Rasa).
I'm a huge fan of the Old World mythological genre, but I'm more than a little disappointed that GnH aren't bringing anything really new to the table. Even the followers system is basically just an extension of the Guild Wars NPC model, with an element of `collectability' thrown in. Probably still check it out, but with giants like Tabula Rasa, Age of Conan and WAR towering on the horizon it's hard to imagine that this game will have any lasting appeal.
/sigh
The graphics are the same washed out bloom look as Guild Wars. It uses instances to a great extend.
I seriously doubt that it will do any good. And it certainly won't blow Wow, Lotro and Guild Wars out of the way.
Quoting people doesn't make you clever, in fact, it makes you all the more stupid for not bothering to read the quotes you post in the first place.
This game looks solid to me. I am not saying that its going to revolutionize the industry. But i do think it will do well. Whats interesting to note is that this game and Sword of the New World both allow you to control multiple toons. It would be interesting to see if this will be a more common thing in games in the future.
The multiple toon thing is usually just an extension of the `pets' concept that's been around since the dawn of MMO time. GnH takes a slightly different direction by allowing you to quest for or trade for different NPC pets, making them essentially a loot item. By contrast, in Granado Espada you make multiple characters and can play up to 3 at the same time, switching between which you completely control and which are AI controlled (with some basic orders) at will. Basically the Dungeon Siege control model, but in a MMO. Both games use multiple toons, but implemented in quite different ways. And neither is particularly new or innovative.
Edit: Restated my point so I wasn't mistaken for a fanboy of either game.
