Why doesn't subscriber numbers increase anymore, even though they still sell a lot of copies?

    Opinions are not facts.
4: gnome rogues will kick the living shit out of you.
Maybe, depends on their skills, your skills, and your class.

Fear doesn't work with dots anymore. Had a chance to break earlier, almost always does after the latest patch.

If only you actually had something intelligent to say, what a shock that would be to yourself. "Wow I really made something impressive today"...but than again, you probably feel the same way about the post just now.

No idea even Blizzard admitted only 2 million play in North America (1.7 million of which bought BC)

compared to the 3.2 million who play in China (where BC hasn't even been released yet)

Where do those statistics come from?  I'm going to guess to made it made up like most people do who quote statistics.  In any event the number, 6 million americans, seems a little high to me.  The number of North American, not just American subscribers, is somewhere in the realm of 1.75 million - 2 million.  That number comes sales of The Burning Crusade in North America and per Blizzard.

As for the most addicitve MMO out there... I don't know I suppose that is a subjective matter and varies with each person.  I would not call someone who stays in WoW mainly because of friends who play, addiceted to the game.  More like addicted, or rather loyal, to the friends, which is probably not a bad thing.  Personally, I don't find myself as drawn into WoW as I have been with some other MMOs in the past.

    #2  ??

I quit the game. I have no interest in ever going back. though  it was fun while it lasted. But the game lost me when I had nothing left to do.  Sorry I do not like repeating raids over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over ....  LOL Get the picture?

So the discs all went into  file 13,  the game is erased off the puter. I refused to stay ven when guild members begged and offered to pay  the sub for me.  Like I have done since back in AC days.  I will find a new game I enjoy and e-mails will fly.  Old friends will come and life willgo on for a while longer until I get bored of doing the same thing over and over and over and over and over and over and . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

I played WoW from launch uptil TBC. The new content was "ok", nothing exciting past level 68. I had raided the shit out of instances for almost 2 years, having 3 chars equipped in full tier 2.5 and some tier 3 (one in full) and having 6 capped chars, I just got fed up of seeing basically the same things everyday, same areas and so I tried EQ2 with its new upgrades and fell for it.

I know that like WoW, i'll get bored of it one day and want to move on, but by then there will be a new game that I will enjoy. Thats life, you move onto something new, get bored and have to move on.

Yo man thanks for keepin' it real.  Are you a poet or something?  You must be, 'cause your words spoke straight to my heart.  I quit my WoW raiding guild immediately after reading your post.

A MAN CANNOT CLAIM TO BE A MAN UNTIL HE HAS MOVED A FRIDGE.

Still waiting for your Holy Grail MMORPG? Interesting...
