I have decided to give EQ2 a try and the game is now updating on my computer, while I wait, is there any tips the pros of EQ2 can give me? I want to test this game to it's fullest within the Level 6 limit/7 Days the trial offers.
I didn't know that the trial limited characters to level 10. Was kind of a bummer reaching the cap a couple hours after playing. Yes, I played other classes and its a good game. For me, I'm not sure its worth the $30-40 to buy the game, then the $15 monthly fee.
For most people looking for something to hold them over until other games come out, I would definitely recommend EQ2. Its so much more polished than most other games out there.
Yes the downloads can be long on the tutorials, do it when you are sleeping or at work.
You can have several characters in the tutorial and the game shows you a lot of what that class will be to play in the future, so do both some good and some evil classes and try them out, if you really like lets say templar do an Inquistor and check that out too. The game initself is not that expensive BUT you should buy the boxed EoF version as that includes all expansions, if you buy it as a download you will have to pay for the all the expansions. There is a lot of quests in the tutorial and do at least all of them once, the most difficult thing in the tutorial is actually grouping as you can solo your way all around it, but I would suggest to try to group at least if you play a healer as healer soloing and grouping is very different.
yeah, i'm downloading the trial now, and the estimated time left is about 40 hours (???). what's the deal with that....
Sometimes you have to stop and restart (it keeps track of where you left of with the download) the timer gets stuck or something to that effect. It doesn't always affect your download but sometimes it does. Its just some weird quirk with the download system that happens on occasion.
