problems getting into beta

I have a preorder box i registered, it said it sent teh validation. not validation to my email and It is teh right email(checked like 3 times)

and on top of that when i go to download teh client I get taken to fileplanet and fileplanet tells me i need to pay to download this because it's subscriber only.

um what the hell?!

Validation is the image Validation deal. If you have your images turned off you will not see it. As far as file planet, you don't have to pay, you can sign up for a free account that has a wait to download.

it said it sent me an email vailidation the email itself wont arrive.

and whenever I tried to download it with my free account it takes me to sign up for a pay account and wont let me get further

okay I was able to figure out teh vailidation problem.

I changed my email to a hotmail account.

the new problem is it only stays that email long enough to validate the e-mail address tehn it switches back to the first e-mail so i can't get the download directions. and it will not let me download from fileplanet.

I'm having trouble getting into the Closed Beta also.

I did receive the notification and directions to d/l and use the Closed Beta and to go to Fileplanet for it.

But the d/l always stops at 2.0gb in size instead of the roughly 3.0gb sized file.

I've heard that low disk space may be a problem so I cleared things up to have 15gb of hard drive space freed up for it. After a 4th attempt at d/l, it still ends at 2.0gb in size, always.

So much for Closed Beta... cause it's definitely closed out

What browser are you using? Someone on fileaxis.com said that internet explorer only supports up to 2.0 gigabytes of transfer so thats ur prob. Oh and also, wait for the open beta, comes out next week and if you cant get on to fileplanet, im sure when open beta comes they will have more mirrors.

You're gonna hate this...

Try deleteing the copy you have currently and completely redownloading. The same thing happened to me and it kept stopping even though I had more than enough space cleared. But once I deleted the file it came down fine.

If you use Fileplanet, just install their Download Manager. It doesn't use a browser and I've downloaded a ton of 2+GB files using it.

Is closed beta a private random picking kinda deal? I registered for beta and didnt get instructions to download and the only website i found that has a download is fileplanet for subscribers only!! Will i be able to DL for free when beta starts next week?

Currently the closed beta is for people who have shelled out cash or has been active on the Sword forums. So you can go pre-order at ebgames, gamestop or best buy and get a key to play right now. Or you can pay fileplanet and get a key. If you pre-order you will be sent an email that will tell you how to download the game for free.

OR, you can wait a week when Sword enters open beta (the 15th I believe) and just play that way.

OOOORR, you can play the sgGE, but there are some major differences between the two versions. People in Sword are MUCH more active and talk more than in sgGE, and there isn't as much afk play. But that seems to be a style thing... so if you like being afk play sgGE if not Sword's community is shaping up nicely.

Overall, both games are good and at their core the are similar. I just like K2's better, its not as laggy (at least for the US players).

Now i havent been posting on the forums or donated anything to the site but i did buy the pre order and i registered for beta because i have any account and the only way to get an account is register for beta! Now i havent been sent anything about downloading, is this because i havent been active on forums? And will there be a free site to download for us beta-pre orderers thats NOT fileplanet like gamershell or filefront when the beta comes out? Right now i cant play because i have not gotten an email and i dont pay for fileplanet, so i just have to wait til 15th? Im relying on you man, you have the Sword pic

After each of my failed attempts I deleted the incomplete 2gb download and they do the same thing.

I've increased the available space to 17gb and unfortunately the whole process repeated itself.

Download there, don't wait for the email thats the only important thing you need from the email. I think the reason K2 did the fileplanet thing was because they didn't want to PAY them to host a file for us pre-order people. But the link I gave you allows you to download it for free.

Someone had a torrent, Ill try to find it because FP may not like your computer... I find their systems to be very finicy (sp?).
