I'm getting LOTRO.

Anyways I would like to say thanks to the people this morning who answered some of my questions about this game.  I have decided to try this game out.  However I am wondering do I need to give them my credit card information to even make an account?  I switched banks yesterday and I wont be getting my debit/credit card for a week at least wouldnt be suprized if it's longer then that.  Anyways, I really would like to  know if theirs anyway to gain access to the game now, or if I should wait 2 weeks to even make the purchase.  Could I use my own buddy key to create an account and play now.  Anyways thanks, and I would like to say turbines customer support and FAQ pages arent alot of help at least that i've stumbled across.

    I havent created my own account yet so I wouldnt know anything about that.  But you can use your own buddy key and create an account then later add to your account from the game you bought after the 10 day trial runs out.

    If you are going to the store to buy the game, you might want to pick up a pre-paid card. That would at least get you started.

    I shoot for the curve... anything above that is gravy.

    you don't need a credit card to create an account, just use the buddy key or a game card

    also, after your buddy key runs out, you still get to keep your characters if you want to keep playing

    very cool thanks, for the info.  btw, I live in the US not sure if that effects how this is but theres some things I guess that turbine does differently then codemasters and I dunno if billing is one of them.   See you all in game! if any one wants to suggest a server/class feel free, I'm one of the players that really enjoys being in guilds I guess those are kinships in lotro, and doing things for the group, I usually like to play casters but since there isnt one in this game really who knows.  I dont really think the minstrel is for me though anyways thanks all.

    Lore Master is the closest you'll get to a caster class. I'm a lvl 12 LM and I'm enjoyinh it loads. Reminds me of WoW's Warlock. Crowd control, DOTS and pets :)

    From what i understand, via turbine you need a credit card to get started but from codemasters you dont.. i may be mistaken tho.

    yeah you will need a CC for turbine billing. I had to do that when i made my account. it was damn worth it to considering the enjoyment im getting out the game. im up in albany NY and im itching to get back to NYC :P so i can play. have fun.

    I made an account with my own buddy key and I'm going to upgrade it into a sub later this week, cant wait to get in game it's installing as I type this. :)
