OnNet USA has announced that FishingChamp is entering Closed Beta, once again testing the will of MMO News outlets to avoid using lame fishing puns.

San Jose, CA June 6th, 2006 - OnNet USA announced today that FishingChamp has launched the closed beta session. Gamers are invited to visit the official FishingChamp website, fishingchamp.gamescampus.com, and test the world's only MMO fishing game.

"We are proud to release this revolutionary game to our players. It has long been anticipated and today we are able to offer it to them", said Mike Min, PM of FishingChamp.

Players will be treated to a host of in-game activities and events during the closed beta session. The FishingChamp team will have a different in-game event each day for the first six days of the closed beta session. Prizes will include exclusive closed beta t-shirts and iPods. Game videos, beginner's guide and the forum are all available for gamers to familiarize themselves with FishingChamp.

"FishingChamp is a unique combination of bringing the excitement of fishing and the community feature that make MMOs so popular together", added Chris Keswani, Marketing Manager of OnNet USA.

I kept getting erroneous error messages.  I'll give it another go soon.  I find the play times a wee bit difficult, too.  It's basically cooking and eating dinner and relaxing with hubby time for me.  Unfortunately, my husband has no interest whatsoever in a fishing/cooking MMO.
